  1. Wordle 880 3/6* 🟨⬜⬜🟨⬜ 🟨⬜⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 I wish wordle had a running timer. I finished this one in about 35 seconds, but have had Eagles that have taken forever. It'd be fun to track it.
  2. Well, he's got the anger and denial stages down but it likely stops there.
  3. Not a government issue, but what the hell? https://www.fox7austin.com/news/peanut-allergy-lake-travis-high-school-students-football-teammate-severe-allergies Whatever happened do TPing his yard, or putting icy Hot in his jock. Hell, even dumping his head in the toilet is better than this. At least that won't kill him.
  4. Wordle 874 2/6 🟨⬜⬜⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  5. Just watched the video. Holy shit. This is so dishonest and is in such bad faith. And I know, duh- of course it is, but still. You declined to cross!!!! Everything that "he didn't get to explain", could have been remedied by your own questioning! You didn't ask questions because you wanted to get him out of the hole he was digging because, in reality, he was saying to much!
  6. She's clearly leaning into the "I'm not here to listen to what he has to say..." misrepresentation. Funny though, can someone remind me how many questions his lawyers asked him when the prosecution was done?
  7. Meh. Their version is not "all they get". it's all they want and all they'll accept. Video evidence won't change that. Video can be clipped and taken out of context just as easily as print.
  8. Yeah, that was something else, though not nearly as disturbing as the the two orphan children we happened upon living in a literal mud hut in the rural Rakai District on the border of Uganda and Tanzania. I do think it's important to allow yourself to experience both the beauty and despair. Go to Karen and have some delicious coffee, but then spend some time in Kibera (with a local guide).
  9. I've got this Illinois/Minnesota game on and just saw Bret Bielema for the first time in a few years. wow.
  10. Yep. I'll take that. 1) Thought I was on the game thread. 2) Didn't realize how much time was left. Neg away. I suck.
  11. I've only spent time in Kenya and Uganda. Both were awesome in their own way but if I had to recommend one of the two for their respective major cities I'd say Nairobi over Kampala. I'll echo that getting around is not easy- even by air. My experience with the 3 I flew out of was not good- think Denver airport during a blizzard in the middle of a baggage handlers' strike.
  12. Cue the annual Halloween fear mongering. Actually it's pretty tame compared to last year's fentanyl nonsense. https://www.foxnews.com/us/california-police-warn-parents-child-ingests-thc-infused-candy-received-halloween-school-event Inspecting the candy is "extra" caution?
  13. Agree with everything here, except that kids mostly have no choice. In Canada maybe, but here in the US, unfortunately this isn't the case. Anecdotally, I can tell you that only a small percentage of kids wear them. For the ones who do, it's typically the turtle neck style with the kevlar reinforced necks. My kid fought it because he said it was hot, but quickly got used to it. I do think we'll see more usage now at the youth level, but it'll come via parents and individual associations first before state and federal governing bodies. Here's the most recent statement from USA Hockey that I've been able to find (they only go so far as to recommend): As a goalie, my kid finally gave into the trifecta of dangler, clavicle guard, and shirt- all serving different but overlapping protection.
