  1. Most of the places in this thread are within walking distance. South on Hennepin from that spot can be a little dicey for a few blocks. Not dangerous really, just chaotic.
  2. This list is basically a list of my favorite places in the states that I've visited/lived. Well except, you know, Dallas. In fairness, this is the result of just about every "most overated" type poll ever started. It happens here too. Start an overrated artists thread and you'll get the Beatles, Stones, and Nirvana on the 1st page. It's just a dumb premise. And I bite every fng time.
  3. I'll admit, my 1st thought was "is this just going to feel like Silence of the Lambs"? Then I remembered that it's Jodi F'ng Foster, and that movie was 30 years ago. She's not going to play like a wet-behind-the-ears rookie. I'm excited!
  4. Oh Boy!!!! https://www.theverge.com/2022/5/26/23143346/jodie-foster-true-detective-season-4-hbo True Detective’s fourth season is going to the Arctic with Jodie Foster as the lead Though Jodie Foster has built a name for herself leading thrillers on the silver screen, her next big project’s going to be something a bit different. Deadline reports that Foster has signed on to True Detective’s fourth season to portray Liz Danvers, a detective tasked with investigating the mysterious disappearances of six people from a research station in Ennis, Alaska. While Danvers is up for the task of figuring out where went wrong near the Tsalal Arctic Research Station, she and her partner arrive in Ennis just as the region’s long winter night and its all-encompassing darkness begin to set in. In addition to starring as Danvers, Foster will also executive produce this chapter of True Detective alongside Barry Jenkins, and the season will be written and directed by Issa López.
  5. We saw several guys in flight suits at our showing.
  6. Just got back from the theater. My son and I loved it. Are there ridiculous parts? Sure. But it's fun, beautifully shot, and pulls off the difficult task of including nostalgic elements of the 1st movie without feeling like a half ass modern day remake.
  7. Still storming bad. Power is out everywhere.
  8. He's a c level actor. Lives in LA. If you have kids you might know him from the Secrets of Sulphur Springs on Disney.
  9. It's a bit. The drainage system at target field is often discussed around here.
  10. Aaaaand there goes our siren. At least we have basements.
  11. Enough to have tornado sirens in every town. I think we're top 10 at least.
  12. Tried to get my dogs to go out and pee before the worst of it and they're not having it.
  13. It's pretty nasty here. Like the part of the Wizard of Oz in black and white bad. Fans have been told to seek shelter.
  14. FYI, Pryes is only a half mile from Bar La Grassa and is an easy walk. It'll be popping on a day like this I bet.
  15. InBound sucks. Fulton is a great spot before and after Twins games, but can be sleepy otherwise. Psycho Suzi's and Betty Danger (same owner) have never really done it for me. Have fun at Bar La Grassa!
  16. It'll happen. Give them another 13 or 14 years.
  17. Just checked out the week's events and it looks fun as hell. Things that stood out to me: Monday 12:00-8:00 Urban Growler and Todd Haug collaboration. (It's F'ng Todd Haug. And Urban Growler's a fun spot) Monday 3:00-6:00 Happy hour at the falls (This is at Minnehaha Park. Even on a meh day it's a great spot to take in the sights and see the falls) Tuesday 3:00 IPA showdown at UpDown (it's a really cool old school arcade in the Uptown area) Wednesday 5:00-8:00 Bent Paddle Smack Shack tap takeover. (Smack Shack's a cool spot, and Bent Paddle is some of the best beer in the state- Out of Duluth) Thursday 2:00-8:00 Dangerous Man parking lot party. (These guys are cool, and a bunch of other breweries are close by)
  18. You here yet @patrickdrinksbeer? I want updates. Also, are there any conference events or activities that I may want to crash?
  19. Oh I think he's genuine, just incredibly naive. Can't wait until he gets blitzed with scat porn and k-pop. Free Speech!!!11
  20. Looks like old wheel and squeal is no longer the GOP's useful idiot.
  21. I guess we'll see what happens with Twitter, but for now I'll just say that I'm relieved that Elon isn't a natural born citizen.
  22. Can anyone explain the "not a sport" comments that follow any tweet that ESPN or Bleacher puts out regarding baseball or hockey?
