Plural vs. singular seems a bit looser in the Bible.
Gen 1:26-27 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
And of here’s Jesus on how to baptize:
Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
If you’re baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit per the words of Jesus, and said three-in-one crew refer to themselves as a plural on page one of the entire book, “we” seems biblically appropriate even for the most pedantic.
