    REK

I was unable to get away from loud drunks talking the entire show, otherwise a damn good time. Glad I was able to hear him play these songs one last time. Not sure when Rich Brotherton stopped touring with him but it was strange not seeing him up there...was nice having a fiddle back in the mix though.

    Pink Floyd

don't ever pass up an opportunity to see a member of pink floyd playing pink floyd songs...even if it's the drummer.
  3. outside of ACL Fest, I don't recall PJ playing a show in austin in the 22 years that I've lived here. have traveled to houston and dallas multiple times to see them.

saw her and isbell do an in-store at waterloo when southeastern came out...i guess she had an album come out at the same time. they traded songs back and forth and it was painful how bad her songs were.

if you need to show there has been no lapsed coverage it's not uncommon for the insurance company to back date the policy.

David Byrne's book, How Music Works, goes in depth on that exact question. Worth a read.

how the hell do you have time to put your entire collection into discogs? I've never even considered it a possibility.
  21. Billy Howerdel at Emo's last night. He's the songwriter/guitarist for A Perfect Circle. Love his new album, very 80's Depeche Mode/Cure sound going on. He played the entire album and it sounded really good live, his voice suits the music perfectly. The touring drummer couldn't be there and Josh Freese filled in, always a treat to watch him play. Also had Danny Lohner, formerly of NIN, on guitar. Low turnout, maybe 100 people there...which feels empty in the giant cavern of Emo's. Excellent show though
  22. welp, 100% fuck zakk wylde. out.
  23. anselmo has been playing pantera songs for a while with his band. got no problem with that but it's not right to add rex and call it pantera. would i still go? sure.
  24. the rabbit at LPG was the one thing i didn't really find amazing. it was fine, but thought everything else was a lot better.
