  1. She's 6'3" and can help with the block and dump in a 5-1. We've given away that and it's hurting us. If Carlson was playing lights out, it's one thing. She's not. Partly because we're out of system most of the time, which is one more reason to play Swindle. The hitters are getting so many bad "sets" that they're dinking half the time.
  2. Why is Ella Swindle not playing at all?
  3. Unfortunately, Kurt is still in Austin and will continue to cover the Longhorns. https://www.pressreader.com/usa/austin-american-statesman/20240623/282089166950634
  4. Did I see someone say John David Crowe is buried in that Snook cemetery? You can't make this shit up.
  5. The cult cheerleaders are creepier than the cult snake handlers.
  6. The fun thing about litigation is that discovery works both ways. It should be fun when our team is instructed to "being issuing" information requests investigating the abject ineptitude and fiscal irresponsibility in the aggy athletic department.
  7. I heard that. I also see a few "sulyite" sounding types setting the record straight on Finebaum's Twitter post promoting Looch's appearance.
  8. Just got here and haven't seen this mentioned. Fascinating press conference to introduce Schloss as our new baseball coach. He revealed in an answer to a question he had a waiver in his aggy buyout clause if he was offered the job at Texas. So aggy signed him, knowing his dream job was UT and his good friend was CDC, his former AD at TCU. Of course, aggy bragged about poaching him from TCU after he stated publicly he had no interest in their job. The aggy jokes literally write themselves.
  9. Horns now #2 on Rivals 2024 Comprehensive: https://n.rivals.com/team_rankings/2024/all-teams/football/comprehensive
  10. Nebraska social media has been extremely quiet since the match ended. Unfortunately for them, their coach let a couple of their shit talkers attend the post match press conference. Their butthurt remarks are being widely distributed. Not a good look for the school with "the most gracious fans in the world."
  11. Did anyone wake Mack and tell him Bobby Bowden died?
  12. I've read the last 10 pages or so on this thread to try to get a sense of when we're most likely to get out of this POS conference. Could someone who is following it closely and who knows shit from wild honey about the contract implications kindly handicap the possibility that we could actually be free of these rubes by 2022? Thanks in advance...
  13. The first time I sang "The Eyes" at a UT football game was in 1963. I'm also a graduate, a foundation donor, and a season ticket holder. And I have been, both before and during this entire 11-season shitshow we've been watching, while our entitled coaches and team don't have enough pride to give a fuck that our program sucks. It matters to me if the team doesn't represent the WINNING traditions of the University of Texas. The whiny and entitled are IN the program. So, you can fuck off if you don't like that, and so can they.
  14. Just thought I would drop in and say Hi! 2-7 vs. TCU since we had to let them in this shitty league. I see nothing has changed on the premier Longhorn football forum. Y’all keep knocking yourselves out and I’ll check back if we ever get a real coach. Life’s too short for this shit.
  15. The Dallas BMDs fucked up the Strong hire. The Houston BMDs fucked up the Herman hire. So which BMDs will win the battle to fuck up the next one?
  16. The crazy thing is that we have very few guys that would start for them. While true, that's criminal neglect.
  17. I hope you're right but I wouldn't bet on it.
  18. By never, I mean win conference championships and play for national titles. And if you're harking back to 2009 as thought that's still relevant, your expectations are a lot lower than mine were.
  19. I've been following this team since 1963. We won three MNCs in the first seven years. One in the last 49. I've bought lots of swag in 56 years. Still pay for season tickets. I give them to my kids. I'll always love the Horns. I've just let go from expecting them to perform to my expectations because they never do. That's what happens when you pay a guy $5 million a year to coach a fucking game and demand nothing from him.
  20. I thought I'd stop in and say hello for old times' sake. Of course, as a program, we're still beating the same dead horse we've been beating for 20 years. And we're still paying a guy $5 million a year to lose to those low-rent dirt bags 3 out of 4 times. So, the more things change, the more they stay the same. I finally lost interest in enabling a program that has every advantage but can't win it's own conference or beat a low-class rival even half the time. For the University of Texas to consistently finish behind 0U in anything is a monumental embarrassment. I finally just had to let go emotionally and accept that this is the way it is, for now. Hopefully I'll live long enough to see it change, but I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for overpaid coaches and administrators to be held accountable. What I've learned the past several years is there's more to life than fretting over athletic underachievement. If the powers-that-be don't give a fuck, why should I? Some of you might do well to examine these realities against your priorities, for the sake of your own sanity.
