  1. I would agree. i was trying to avoid technical advancement stuff. I was looking for more no doubters martial arts - Enter the Dragon submission is like a no doubter disaster - Airport is a no doubter mockumentary - Spinal Tap is a no doubter Science Fiction - 2001 is a no doubter Sci Fi Horror- Alien Slasher - Halloween is a no doubter Texas Chainsaw Massacre is interesting I guess you could call it Psychological Horror. The Exorcist should be one - maybe demonic horror? some are hard like Westerns and WWII movies because there are so many of them and have been made for decades in different styles. I want The Wild Bunch to be one but then how do you describe it vs. westerns before it as a genre. as always with these threads to each his own and some people have different opinions on defining a movie genre. It kind of has to be extremely unique when it came out.
  2. I bet he changes for this season just to prove a point and then goes back to Parsons-mode.
  3. and he is a WR. every team in college runs with 4 WR's. there are tons of them available in the draft/free agency. not necessarily dime a dozen but they are there every year. A guy like Parsons comes once every 5 or so. let Lamb go, get a really good rush end and let Parsons cook. I will give Lamb the boost over Parsons in the "play through pain" department. Parsons seemed like a bit of a pre-madonna.
  4. not denying its place in history and the effects but what genre?
  5. so all we needed was to lose our best starting pitcher and our 100billion dollar middle infield? I guess Billy Beane was right...
  6. yeah! when was the last time we won by 70 anyway?! This is bullshit! I want fucking 70 next week are Arch can sit the bench!
  7. Arch has had a partially torn rotator cuff since middle school.
  8. Buddy Cop movie - 48 Hours as truly defining it as it has existed for 40+ years since.
  9. well if the genre is spaghetti western it is GBU. but admit that spaghetti western is a pretty narrow subgenre to western.
  10. Have to agree that Superman did define the genre. Batman was just a better movie, IMO, while adding the movie song soundtrack to the mix.
  11. martial arts - I would say Enter the Dragon. Some may say Seven Samurai but that is almost all swordplay.
  12. my original idea was for the genre of a movie. some of this is blending into the technical/movie making aspects. IMO, saving private ryan is one of the best movies of all time, and the first 30 minutes is the best opening 30 minutes of any movie I will ever see in my lifetime but it's genre is still a WWII movie. Jurassic Park is similar. It is a monster movie. I put Jaws as one but the reality is it is a Monster movie, it just has the added First Summer Blockbuster tag which makes it somewhat unique. I'm trying to figure out Monster movie(is it Kong or is it Nosferatu). I guess monster could be separated into Animal Monster and Human Monster.
  13. according to the wiki - he was originally a vampire immune human but then became progeny between a vampire and a human.
  14. I would go with Batman but I can see Blade I don't think that had anything to do with it at all. Batman is the most popular comic book character in history. Most people didn't even know Blade was a comic book character.
  15. speaking of disaster movie genre - Airport 1970(although Poseidon Adventure to me is overall better)
