  1. an actual blowout of ark and a solid win against aggy MIGHT give the committee something to think about but this team likely doesn't have that in them. Petrino is a pretty good OC and I don't trust our DB's at all anymore. Green is a good enough athlete to cause our rush some problems.
  2. jeudy just wasted 3 tacklers
  3. I would say Mich v USC was meaningful but the rest is chum
  4. we played them in a super regional not too long ago.
  5. I think people really overdo the Saban angle with Sark. he isn't a Saban acolyte. he was a Saban reclamation project. He and Kiffin are Carroll acolytes. Smart is a Saban acolyte, kind of like Muschamp, but had more time under Saban than Mus did. Muschamp being at Georgia the last few years probably helps Kirby a ton as well. Dude was not a good HC but he's a top flight DC.
  6. it'd be nice to get some of that Walton money for NIL.
  7. uh...
  8. This is a good point but it would be nice if Georgia got called for it when their line got physically whipped.
  9. prepping for the big Guess Who reunion tour https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/the-guess-who-2026-tour-randy-bachman-burton-cummings-1235462749/
  10. we made this mistake this week(showed up on Friday for a game on Sat)...the game is on Saturday this year.
  11. OK how is that not a facemask on the Carolina TE? again, Bijan needs to get the hell our of Atlanta.
  12. that's got to be him. I'm guessing he might have some long time friendships in Austin given his relationships with McLagan and Ronnie Lane.
  13. neither is vandy or ou.
  14. yep. likely a first round bounce out but depends on the matchup. the committee does seem to be a bit better than the traditional polls in regards to the loss column. that said we keep giving reasons to have people drop us even in our wins.
  15. ha. behind both OU and Vandy. gotta love the historical polls and the loss column. if we play Virginia Tech instead of Ohio State the coaches and AP would have us at 8.
  16. our gameplans are not half baked. they are fully baked. the problem is every party is a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting.
  17. at 14-10 I was thinking we were right in line with the usual one score loss. 21-17, 24-17 or something like that. then the 2 4th downs, coverage busts, and the onside kick and blowout ensues.
  18. which is why he needs to go to the NFL and we need a real college head coach.
  19. OK, but in this game we were only about 2 min difference in TOP when the 4th quarter started and we gave up 2 4th downs on the drive to get to 21 and then the onside kick happened. The D could have helped themselves on the 2 4th downs. In this particular game TOP wasn't really the issue. I think we had a similar number of plays(60 to 64) even with the onside kick. we had massive coverage busts. yes, Sark unwillingness to fix and commit to the run dooms us because we can't trust our receivers to make critical plays(even rote catches are about 70%). next year will tell the tale. if the play count is similar, there are so many commercials now if your D can't be fresh you have a conditioning issue unless it is something close 40 to 20.
  20. and this is the problem, its not the losses per se(though Georgia was a team wide failure) its how we've looked in the wins. OU was our one good solid game. maybe these guys put the wood to Arkansas and take out aggy to change the narrative but Sark's Bama shine has basically worn off with the struggles of Manning and this Georgia ass kicking. recruiting(portal and high school) is just going to get more difficult for a guy who does not seem locked in, IMO. I want Flood fired and Akina to retire because someone has to pay for these abortions but more than that and it is just deck chairs. banks continuing to play Roberson is mind numbingly stupid but we've got bigger problems than Roberson's penalties.
  21. well he should have huge concerns about our DB coach and players, as well as, his inability to stick with the run, his receivers dropping balls everywhere and getting on the refs early and often for holding Simmons. but hey, the playsheet is nails.
  22. we did run it reasonably well and then stopped. He's using the onside kick as an excuse to obfuscate his abandonment of the run.
  23. This is why I'm good with Sark leaving. He's married to his "genius" as a playcaller. we hit the 40 yarder to Mosely. then throw 3 straight passes. yes they were dropped but damn you know you have guys that drop balls constantly. establish the run. here is your chance. You want 125 yards rushing and you completely abandon it when you have the chance to establish it. He also doesn't employ a QB run game at all. Kirby must love playing Sark. the QB run game at the college level is a game changer, ESPECIALLY if your OL is deficient. we play with one hand tied behind our back.
  24. PK's soft bullshit to start the game needs to change. Georgia was a hot knife through butter.
  25. Akina was an awful hire.
