  1. well it has always been that way. no one who votes in these polls says "well Texas D could likely win the game against aggy". they look at helmets, where you started, win/loss and who you've played, they might go down to score margin in some cases but that is all they do.
  2. we have a loss and have not defeated anyone with a pulse yet and struggled a bit with 2 teams we should whip. aggy beat ND at ND and OU has defeated Mich/Aub. the traditional polls have always lacked nuance. generally # of losses rules all unless you are not a helmet-ish type school. see Ole Miss/Indiana. and of course where you started means your order is generally secured until you lose.

    Florida Gators

Florida team will be in "we must save our corch" mode. hopefully we push the Florida "save the corch" jihad to the following week for their game at aggy.
  4. the first 2 throws were somewhat tentative/short armed but catches were made. the TD to the TE was a duck but got there. Then he hit the crossing route to Moore with a great throw in the 2nd qtr and he was really good from there.
  5. The Taunting - Monet 1873
  6. hammond is the Hutto kid right? 2 nice throws
  7. 11am games were created by god for gamblers only.
  8. yep. once the RB didn't get out they needed to have a play ready to get 5 yards and call a TO and kick the FG. it is obvious they didn't figure the RB would break that run.
  9. RB needed to get OOB for Clemson. they'd have 7 seconds left.
  10. so are these Big 12 refs? my god...
  11. My guess is Gundy knew this was inevitable. 20 years is about the max at one school for any head coach. usually diminishing returns after that. Could he right the ship and end up going Joe Pa/Bobby Bowden? maybe but he doesn't strike me as being that kind.
  12. I happened to see the 2nd goal. oof, it was a slow dribbler into the corner, very bad goalkeeping. missed the first and 3rd goals.
  13. I can't believe we had to deal with near on 20 years of Plonsky torching our athletic department. such stupidity.
  14. Great stuff. I bet Sark runs a ton of OZ against SHSU. Coaches always love using these types games to practice stuff that they are having trouble with.
  15. quit bringing Occam into this...the S&C canard always amuses me. all these strength coaches are doing mostly the same thing.
  16. I'm shocked they made it interesting until the last 10 games of the year. we played our best ball when our "best" position players went down.
  17. It is funny. he doesn't really know anything more than we who watch/have watched the Longhorns for decades and played a bit of football know. At least he doesn't charge for it(I guess) I am totally amazed that people pay money for "insider access" for a college football team. It is the one of the true mysteries of our time. I'm sure it has been obvious in practice for a couple of years now that Manning has issues but all you are going to get is sunshine from 9.95ers 1. Ewers played even though he was limited/injured and couldn't hit a deep ball consistently. 2. we got a 5th year meh QB from the portal as an insurance policy. Sark had no choice but to play Manning, so I get that, but we are seeing why certain decisions were made. yet, we have people thinking that Manning has been awesome in practice still.
  18. Joc, Burger, Garcia 0fer. not really getting putting Garcia back in but whatever, shocked these guys still had a shot. win the next 2 or it's over.
  19. because he needs OZ to break big plays.
  20. Saban had an OL factory. he didn't need to rebuild because he knew how to build OL. it all starts there and Sark/Flood are treading water at best IMO. It's been the same story at Texas for 20 years.
  21. It's not 1985 anymore but yes, I've been calling for this, because Manning needs this. the problem is this is not Sark's go to. He's doing it out of necessity which is not good. I give him credit that at least he is not blind. He didn't need to run Ewers because Ewers was a great QB in Sark's O and even if he wanted to run him he couldn't risk more injury to Ewers. We are just going to have to risk running Arch because there is no other alternative. My concern is Sark will try to cut the baby in half instead of fully committing to a serious QB run game as a first option and it will become a mess. Hopefully Caldwell is ready. If Florida is a shit show maybe we can out OU the dirt burglers by having our backup come in and slaughter them for once.
