NFL Week 10
man that first kick was real close...

NFL Week 10
close to 50% of the time the Eagles move early on that play or the center is over the ball and in the neutral zone. personally I think they need to declare they are going to review that particular play every time.

ESPN and The Mouse vs. YouTube TV
Spectrum has to be loving this. I have spectrum for internet and cable. I have a package that is basically both for 210.00(all the sports channels including redzone) and I have access to apps for ESPN Unlimited, Fox One, Paramount, Hulu, Disney, HBO, Peacock, AMC+. Sure they are all with ads(or you can pay a bit extra for no ads on some). I get some of them "free" other ways without ads. live sports on those apps always has ads anyway. I'm sure I will get my turn in the barrel when the spectrum mouse contract comes up again. I want YTTV to win this fight but if they don't the cable v streaming pricing is getting pretty close. YTTV is better with the DVR ability and 6 users and the app is better than the spectrum app but for just me and the wife it works and isn't complicated. And yes I will have to call and bitch at spectrum once a year to get them to back off their standard increase. I have to believe it is OTA.

2025 CFB Polls/Rankings Thead
this has been my thought for a while. 10-2.5. I am sure our failures with UGA and tOSU over the last year creep into the committee's heads. A victory over UGA on the road at night would be massive for changing the narrative.

2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
agreed. something I haven't seen discussed is what happens to Georgia if "maybe we beat them by 21"

2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
There is also a road game v home game component to the georgia loss(close), aggy win 2-1 scenario.

2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
this. Bobby is pulling his Paul Waddlington card out. Everyone knows they can't do anything about it now, Bobby. We are bitching so these dumbasses don't do it again. and the Cam excuse is kinda bullshit IMO.

2025 CFB Polls/Rankings Thead
agree but we did take Georgia to OT and basically fucked the game away. If BYU gets drilled again by Tech it would be different. If they took Tech to OT it would change how the committee looked at them IMO.

this should eliminate aggy.

SEC Refs Suck
yep. It is basically a penalty on georgia every time they do it. I don't know why we don't do it. they should have a rule that players between the tackles within a yard of the LOS can't stim once in their stance or maybe that 2 players between the tackles within a yard can't stim at the same time.

UCLA's return to dominance no longer featuring DeShaun Foster
is the Rose Bowl protected as some sort of historical building. I guess it is owned by city of Pasadena, correct?

2025 CFB Polls/Rankings Thead
the playoff has to just be awesome for the committee. they can always put ND in as long as ND can schedule no more than 3 losses, which is pretty easy with their scheduling.

Point and laugh at Shaka Smart
I wouldn't call either a DEI hire. Sure there was a certain agenda but it wasn't like they were nobody assistants. for football, the only 2 that really potentially qualified and had HC experience were Franklin and Charlie. Charlie had a couple of skins with Louisville and had been a coach under national champion head coaches. he was a top 5 or 6 on the list regardless. I was meh on him but thought he'd at least have our D playing balls out. When our D in the second year was a complete disaster I knew it was just a matter of time. Shaka had basically a one year magical tourney run and was an assistant under Donovan(though not during the NC's). Head coach search for Football was political for a while. McWilliams was actually an agenda hire. He had no real qualifications other than he was a DKR man after the Akers pick snubbed DKR. Mackovic was a "bring our offense out of the dark ages" pick. We didn't really have a good full search until Brown(which included DKR's input). The rest with Charlie and Herman is well known because we were a disaster in the Ath Dept. Anyway, back to Shaka. the guy is always looking for some gimmick to make it sound like he's "ahead of the curve" when he is really just flailing. and the one gimmick that seemed to work he abandoned when he coached here because he wanted to get to the NBA, IMO.

Holy shit you dipshits: 9-3 Texas is probably in the playoffs
a close loss to Georgia and beating ark, aggy means all our losses are close on the road. there will be a push to get a 2nd big 12 team or 4th big 10 in vs. 5 SEC. given the above finish for us, I agree Mich and USC need to lose, BYU loss(don't like 1 loss v 3 loss with the one loss being top5 or 6 team on the road), OU loss. ND losing to Pitt would be a bonus. I don't see how ACC gets more than 1 no matter what but I haven't looked at it that closely.

Bama either has 2 losses or OU has 3 losses. OU can't be 10-2 and Bama be 11-1

2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
that game was ours for the taking. we lost that game way more than UGA won it. of course we knocked out the QB we would have most certainly beat and then there was our "kicker". If we don't turn the ball over and we have everyone healthy on D, I like our chances. Edit: and we get a fair shake from the stripes

given a fair game from the stripes I'd love a game in lubbock.

SEC Refs Suck
Does anyone have the rule regarding what the D can't(or can) do which would cause the simulating the snap infraction? I realize if they move in the neutral zone and the OL moves it is a penalty(unless you are Texas of course) but what about what they can say, do other than that?
