  1. The thing that people are arguing or that has been suggested from a number of different sources throughout this thread and elsewhere is that he brought money and marketing and probably some vision early on at places like Tesla and SpaceX, but the smart people with the degrees and expertise drove most of the actual innovation. Then he got brainworms, started huffing his own farts, fired all the experts and brought in the meme team, and now with total creative and executive control he’s bringing us the Cybertruck and X. Are you able to follow that?
  2. I guess - this particular thread in this conversation didn’t fall out of a coconut tree. I’m not deeply familiar with the history of either Tesla or SpaceX but I’m not sure you’re making much more of a substantive argument that Elon being around and nominally in charge through the growth = Elon is responsible for the success than the folks who are arguing some version of the opposite. I would guess one might argue that he never cared about the business success of Twitter, but he’s tanked that by 75% and I don’t think I’m looking through shit colored glasses when I see his meddling as being very harmful to Tesla. I could be wrong. To whatever degree he was a genius and business visionary 10 years ago his story now is proof that people can change.
  3. I’ll get in trouble trying to make football analogies but i think it’s more like understanding Jon Gruden as a Super Bowl champion head coach. Framing this 446 page conversation as hurr durr billionaire bad is reductive on your part but do you.
  4. How do you think Elon’s stewardship since being redpilled have impacted the affinity that customers have for the products of Tesla and Twitter and that investors have for those businesses?
  5. Elon obviously wasn't always an idiot. And there is clearly value to the rich guy setting a super cool goal and either unleashing brilliant people on it or serving as mascot and marketing. Unfortunately he has the world's most public and devastating case of brain worms, and of course that is an entirely different thing than what Jobs did.
  6. The nice thing is that everyone on my roster sucked on the same week except k allen who I thought was dead and wouldn’t have saved me anyways.
  7. I was. I guess that makes sense as a joke although it didn’t land as one for me.
  8. Georgia is Ohio with a speech impediment. Although I guess that’s not really giving Ohio its due.
  9. This brand of trash talk from Georgia of all places is silly. Congratulations on sitting next to Alabama and Mississippi - that doesn’t make you hot and smart.
  10. Ariana Grande is one of those vague names I know exist but I don’t know… the difference between that and Selena Gomez or half of the other I assume Disney factory outputs that are probably in their thirties but I never learned about. anyways she can’t sing and i don’t think as an actor she could convince me that she is a human being.
  11. goddammit and there’s dj moore’s td overturned
  12. posting here absolutely curses whatever choice you make, fucking k allen with the touchdown on my bench fuck
  13. Lolol what the fuck does he know Herman from mensa
  14. Tucker is there, but I don’t think he’s better than Coleman enough to outweigh the benefit of having both 1 and 2 on a team’s depth chart on the bottom of my wr roster. Slayton and Mccloud are available but I don’t want to rely on Daniel Jones and Flacons players are always a letdown.
  15. Keenan Allen, or either Shakir or Coleman on the Bills? Allen hasn’t done shit, Shakir has been fairly solid but is injured, but if he’s out on MondayI also have Coleman to slide into his place and he should get a boost with Shakir out. Is Allen going to show up?
  16. Link to hat pls
  17. lol how did he steal that interception
  18. I love wingo
  19. My 10 month old son just took his first steps, wearing burnt orange. 🤘🤘let’s gooooo
  20. Found my way to the warranty page, it still has two years left but coverage for the battery just expired. The annoying thing is that it seems that they don’t sell batteries for this model either on the Lenovo site or Lenovo.encompass.com (or at least they don’t currently have them in stock). Seeing if I can get any guidance from Lenovo or I guess I’ll just have to try my luck on ifixit or Amazon or whatever.
  21. Awesome, thanks y'all. I'm mad that I didn't refresh my ancient iphone before they laid me off (and explicitly allowed me to keep the phone), I had just refreshed my laptop this year and would be pissed if I had a bricked $1500 laptop just sitting under my desk.
  22. Boom. Battery out, powers on. This hopefully indicates that a replacement battery would fix the problem, or do you think potentially there’s some kind of problem with the connection to the battery and it’s more complicated than just that?
