So Northeast Kingdom Vermont, at least my neck of the woods was spared much of anything. At best, we got an inch of snow, really more of a dusting. All of the footprints and tire tracks are smoothed out, but very much still there.
Back home in Boston - we did get a good amount, easily 4". Kind of a PITA as I am going to have to wait until tonight to dig my place out. Hopefully won't be there much later than 6 tonight.
On the snowblower chat ...
IMHO it really depends on what you have to shovel. When it was just a few walk ways and sidewalks I dealt with just shoveling. But now that I have this driveway that has a 7' wall on one side, I appreciate the blower to toss everything out of the driveway. Granted, I do only use it when we have a lot of snow, like 4" or more.
I will say this - if you didn't have a snowblower before and decide to go that route - DO NOT CHEAP OUT. I got a cheap shitty Chinese made Craftsman, I've blown the transfer case on that thing twice. The transfer case was poorly machined and let the innards bounce, it caused one of the worm gear to shred itself twice and one of bushings to wear unevenly. I will be replacing it soon and I will be spending a little more this year.
