  1. It's not an either/or proposition. They both serve a purpose. Sometimes you need an F35, sometimes you need drones, sometimes you need something else. To boil it down to a black and white issue just shows you really don't know what you are talking about.
  2. I disagree. He was a bad coach that did very average (ok that’s right). His teams failed to get any sort of signature wins/results. For their flaws, Arena and Bradley both got some signature results. You talk culture - I think that Gregg left that in far worse shape than ever with the US team being softer than I have ever seen them. When he left the team had no chip on their shoulder, they would get punched in the mouth and back down. As noted we’re well beyond what most US coaches can do here. The names listed, except for Gregg, did something for US Soccer. But our player pool has grown such that those coaches cant coach the talent they would be given. We need guys with more diverse ideas.
  3. Just when he was out there killing himself preparing for NC State.
  4. The damn shame is that the federation not only thought "We can go with an American coach" but that they did it TWICE!!! The second time after said coach proved that he was in WAY over his head. I said it on another site, but we are now well past the point where American coaches outside of a select few will be able to take this team to the next level. I hope that this time under Poch shows the USSF that we need to play a style that takes advantage of our talent in a way that allows us to go toe to toe with anyone and we can't settle for American coaches unless they are tactically diverse.
  5. Recommended read https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-postecoglou-man-city-b1196103.html Tottenham: Ange Postecoglou handed familiar problem after another statement Man City win From sublime to ridiculous has been the story of Spurs’ season so far The article touches on a lot of things. But the real key, IMHO is that Spurs are not yet ready to dominate teams they dictate play on. They play with teams that play open (see Man City over the weekend), they struggle with teams that bunker in.
  6. Well that's fucking great. We bitch about him being soft and now we're going to be without him for a few months. Hope they do the right thing and spend some money in the winter transfer window.

  11. I gotta say - Saturday was great. Spurs win. Longhorns win. Aggies lose. Does it get better than that?
  12. Jesus Christ this man is so fucking dumb it’s almost comical. I bet he really thinks he is smarter than the guys that do nothing but spend every hour of every day thinking of how we can make our tools even more stealthy.
