  1. Honestly, I'm ok with him not coming to the job, now or ever. I think the more damning thing is his statement about how the Federation needs a major change, because he's making note of all the issues we know all too well, but without saying it explicitly.
  2. In case he wasn’t fat enough. a transfer to the MLS would pretty much ensure McKinnie shouldn’t be on the 2026 USMNT. He probably would be because he’s in the MLS, but he’ll be like fat Ronaldo out there
  3. It is good to see some of the top pundits saying this
  4. Tim Howard is throwing down the gauntlet to the USSF. Good read.
  5. I would also note that you undersell what an NT coaching job is and how they are kind of cushy for these guys. Additionally the US job has the benefits of: * Being in the US, * Being low profile in terms of real demand, * kind of exciting with a lot of up and coming young players. I think the job offers a lot. What is the big turn off:
  6. We could get Reynard for a reasonable cost and he checks almost all of these boxes.
  7. Still better than Berhalter.
  8. Even that one doesn’t matter.
  9. https://worldsoccertalk.com/amp/news/us-soccer-prioritizing-money-over-results-led-to-usmnt-downfall/ US Soccer prioritizing money over results led to USMNT downfall Here is the interview mentioned in the article
  10. The Twitters are active with talk of Wilfried Nancy (Columbus)
  11. When we simply fuck up and bring in Steve Cherundolo, the firing of Berhalter is going to be all for naught and the 2026 World Cup will be a disaster.
  12. I can’t be scared of his Stuart Smalley voice. But seriously, that’s your answer dude? Schloss was at least an asshole about it. The fact that you sound like a scared puppy is pretty pathetic.
  13. 10 days ago. He’s a pretty obvious choice. I think we (the surly brain trust) bandied his name around on both hires of beerholder. AFCON champs in 2012 and 2015.
  14. I mean seriously, what do I think about being coached by the Kingslayer?
  15. Would you root openly hope for the men's basketball team to go 0-32 to fire Rodney Terry with a 40% chance we could rehire Rick Barnes?
  16. The site was down, Inchworm out front should have told ya.
  17. This had always been my feeling given the timing. So it goes, at least we asked and tried. Manchester isn't too far from Liverpool, so how about we give Pep a call?
  18. I know we have some "dream hires" But I don't think a hire like Renard would be a bad one. The guy is a World Cup specialist. He clearly gets something about coaching national teams. Just a reminder these guys would go on to score 2 goals right after this and pull the upset of the tournament beating Argentina 2-1 in their first game.
