My favorite thing about the "sips got the easy part of the sec" outrage is how careful they all are to mention aggy as one of our only difficult sec games.

Gunny456 seems like a stable, well-adjusted individual who is lots of fun to be around
There is some crazy in that thread, and yet he still managed to stick out as more than slightly unhinged.
Live look at Gunny456:

I’m speaking to those who think or write this injury is little cause for concern, for the team or for Quinn. We all hope that is the case, but relevant stats about this injury type say the norm is weeks of recovery. Admitting the existence of relevant data, and incorporating that into one’s outlook, is not controversial, outside of certain peculiar professions.
So your point is that an injury we've been told is likely to sideline Quinn for a few weeks has an average recovery time of...a few weeks?
Maybe I misunderstand since I don't have the decoder ring for your first post, but I don't get the scandal here.

I agree with all of this. Granted, Heard couldn't pass downfield as well as Reed (it seems, as of now), but there will be new game planning for him, nonetheless.
A&M avoids UGA, Bama, Tenn, Ole Miss, and OU. While they play Mizzou, SCar, and LSU, all of those teams have major holes. All in all, I just think their final record may make them look better than they actually are. However, as long as Texas takes care of them on November 30th, I don't give a damn.
Assuming they lose to at least 3 of the remaining teams with a pulse they'll face, that puts them exactly on track for...
Wait for it...

I know Florida is *not* good, but A&M did look much better on offense with Reed at QB. It'll be interesting to see them against a team like BGSU and then against a competent passing attack in Mizzou.
Even Tarp acknowledged in his write up that they're benefiting from limited tape on Reed at this point.
Jerrod Heard looked unstoppable against Cal, but how long did that last?
I don't actually think Weigman is very good, so possibly Reed is better, I just don't think you can know very much at this point.
It definitely seems like Reed is a better fit for Klein's offense. I don't see how a QB with serious concussion history can play in that system.

I like how they reference colorado, michigan, and utsa's other games as a barometer for how shitty they are but notre dame's other games....nah bruh, nah, nah.
I was thinking about this yesterday. After ND's loss it was "transitive property doesn't work in CFB."
Now that ND wins, but CSU loses and Michigan wins by less than expected...
It's almost as though moving goalposts is a tradition.

The shoving and trash talking on the final play of a 50 point loss was...something.
But agree, feels like they're comfortable losing but inflicting as much pain as possible in the process and not above cheap shots to get there.
Trade out every UTSA game for Rice as far as I'm concerned, system school or not.

So is this now considered roughing the passer?
I believe they've reclassified hits like this as "attempted murder."
Saw this hit live. That game overall wasn't quite the "payback" game I'd hoped for against tech, but that hit made up for it.

I’m wondering if after all the running back issues against Michigan they didn’t practice doing handoffs over and over this week in practice. If he was twisting his abdomen constantly all week could have contributed to a strain. He was handing off when he took a knee.

It is notoriously hard to prognosticate regarding strains. Think hamstring for a rough analogy to this injury.
Got it. Meaning week to week doesn't really indicate anything other than that the timeline is highly variable so he has to remain week to week. Is that the right way to read it?

Eh. The playoff changed this. I wanted a clear 1-2 undefeated game when you had a winner take all game like 2005, I wanted no doubts when we won then.
With a playoff it really doesn’t matter, you settle it on the field regardless. Sure it will be cool, if both teams win out, for Georgia-Texas to be 1 v 2. But that’s about all I want. I would rather they lost last night as we took the top spot.
I think there's still a huge difference between #1 and every other spot.

In a strange way, this makes me happy that Quinn is out.
There's no way the team can be complacent knowing we have to start our second string QB.
That's not a knock on Arch, I just think the team has to be more focused knowing strange things can happen when playing an inexperienced QB.

Napier’s QB rotation seemed like a game strategy you create for a lower-tier FCS team when you’re just trying to work on concepts and reps and don’t care how much you win by. Absolutely not what you do in a conference home game with your job on the line.
There were rumors Jimbo really wanted out of CS last year, and was coaching like it.
Everything about how Napier coached yesterday made me think the same might be true in Gainesville.

I'd rather stay behind Georgia until they come to Austin.
Same way I felt about being behind SC in 05. I'd rather have something to prove than something to defend.

Yesterday could have gone better. I'd have to go back and rewatch now that I'm home -- but I don't want to -- but I think Napier was just swapping out QBs every series, nothing based on their play. Mertz seemed to be doing well but kept getting pulled. Our running game sucks. Johnson is a good RB, there's just no OL push.
You came out of the half needing a spark, and Lagway provided that on his first series.
Instead of trying to build momentum off of that, he sat out the next series.
I knew you guys were done after that.

These rubes never fail to entertain. They beat the equivalent of a Charlie Strong-coached Texas team and suddenly they’re a good team. Florida looked like an athletic team in full disarray yesterday. I had flashbacks.
Quote of the morning for me is "we just got a huge road win and you guys are posting about tu!"
Huge road win over a team so bad they're possibly firing their coach 3 games into the season.
