  1. Repped. Such a great fucking movie.
  2. The accounts were created at the same time and started bouncing tweets back and forth at the same time. Yes. They're together trolling. They only deleted the bevo blvd account with the trolling reveal in order to try and keep it running. They're on this board, too. Ignore these accounts.
  3. They have a hat with the name of every div 1 and 2 coach/coordinator in it, and they're just listing whatever they pull next at this point.
  4. I don't know what the shit tapa did to my post, but nm. I'm not typing that out again. Gist is that the squid is a tosu troll who can be ignored.
  5. I heard Jeff Bezos is retiring, and they're pushing to replace him with John Doe. Haven't heard of him? He started one of the most successful storefronts on ebay, and recently started selling through Amazon as well and is having great success so far. His peers from eBay all love him and rave about how he managed his storefront there. He's a little raw, but we're sure he'll adjust to the new responsibilities just fine. In all seriousness, I think there's a way you could structure a deal with Traylor where it might work, I just don't trust our program to do that. You need to find a way to delegate the additional responsibilities of being Texas coach to a very strong and experienced team around him, and let him primarily recruit and coach. That requires both us to structure that and his ego to allow that. Is Traylor going to know we need the kind of facilities upgrades and elite support staff that Urban was demanding in order to compete with Bama and Clemson? If not, he needs to hire people who do know that and have them manage those things. I know nothing about Traylor, but it seems like ego and failure to hire and lean on the right supporting staff are points on which our last two coaches have failed. The main reason I posted my scenario above is that, even if a candidate like that was Bezos 2.0, you could never sell it to investors because the risk is just too high. I believe the same is true here. Traylor might be a star in the making, but he needs to go run the cfb version of zappos successfully for a few years before we give him the keys.
  6. The line between actual believers and those sarcastically playing along is too blurred for me to interpret at this point. Or maybe I'm just hoping a lot of the outrageous stuff getting posted right now is sarcastic.
  7. Whoever it is, I'm now prepared to be stunned and pissed.
  8. CDC extended Tom. Rumor is that the president may have done it, but that's a new rumor and I'm not sure why we trust it. CDC let Tom stick around and rebuild his staff after a huge disaster last season. CDC failed to land the plane with Meyer. Ok, maybe out of his control, but now we're in a huge mess. No, I don't just mean optics, I mean recruiting, donors, probably the mindset of the team, etc. If you let this story get this big and public, you'd better be damn sure you're going to land the plane. To have this news break just before early signing is a fuck up beyond belief. I generally like the guy, but the above points are his resume as it pertains to football so far, and that's without wading into the political stuff (that shouldn't really be his measuring stick, anyway). Just like we tell coaches, at some point you are what your record says you are. Maybe he'll still get this right, but he is desperate for a win of any kind at this point.
  9. I feel bad that some here are still talking themselves into this being possible. It would be a disaster for us to leak this intentionally. It's horrible for the program in every possible way, but it appears we went the rip the band-aid route I don't really care what we do next and will be disengaging for a while here. The last week or so was the most excited I've been shut ut football for a long time, which is a sad, sad statement. For anyone holding out hope here, even the squid guy this morning posted something on japanese that translates into "I played a (guessing game) with my friends, but it didn't come out." Not that those guys ever should've been a reason to believe, but even they're not holding out at this point. It's done.
  10. That'll get the recruits fired up for sure.
  11. I was sitting at an airport bar in 2008 when barry switzer announced ou was ahead of us in the bcs. I'm sitting here thinking this feels pretty similar to that. Both extreme low points in 12 years full of them. I'll always love Texas, but if this news ends up being true (and I believe it is until something else is announced) I'm out for a while. With two young kids and a demanding job, it's already a stretch to make as much time to invest in this as I do. When I think about the returns on that time over the last 10 years...just can't justify it anymore.
  12. 100% this. It might be done, but the narrative is changing in ways that don't make sense.
  13. I thought nahlin was one of the more reliable ones? I honestly don't keep up with the 9.95 crew, so I'd love for that to be wrong.
  14. Based on the information that just broke, I expect Texas just paused all fan activities as well.
  15. It's not surprising. It's only surprising that this drug out this far and broke down over something known from the start.
  16. Thujone has spoken, so it must be.
  17. You just pm@futureman with the account you want to upvote or neg and he applies it on the back end.
  18. Futureman would honestly make the most sense.
  19. It felt like a paid pr campaign for Herman.
  20. If so, it's news to me. Not saying you're wrong, I've just never heard that.
  21. We're subbing in new players at multiple positions, including some pretty vital ones. Doesn't it make sense that we'd want to get these guys as many reps as possible during a game week?
  22. Or Tom would've mentioned last night that we'll take today off and start planning for Kansas after the weekend.
  23. Put me in the camp of a verified practice cancellation means something is going on. We've said for a while that cdc would probably not act on Tom until we're officially out of b12 contention. That happened last night. That part is done. Leading up to today, the common refrain was that if Tom was coaching at Sunday practice after we're officially eliminated, that's a bad sign. I've been anxiously watching that part. Now practice is cancelled, and we're supposed to believe it's just rest? These guys are banged up every week, and we practice. I don't buy that and I don't buy covid from a group who flew together as recently as last night. If practice is really off, I personally find the most likely explanation to be that something is going down. Doesn't mean Urban, but something with Tom for sure.
