  1. Deleting and tuning the F250 was a great decision, but I feel bad for some of the tuners now. Saw EPA is nailing them with 8 figure fines. And yes, my MPG improved 1-2 MPGs just removing the DPF. Wasn't going to do the EGR or CAT deletes, as there was just way too much investment at the time. Also, I wasn't going for the black, prius repellant, rather I was trying to avoid the nasty regen that was occurring almost every day on the way to work. I always find it interesting how it cost $5000 for a new DPF setup, like $2000 to have the existing one dipped / pickled, or $900 to get a pipe and tune for the truck. Which one are YOU gonna pick?
  2. "There, he stood 8 hours in the cold aisle staring at the blinking lights on the front of the server, rebooted it, and walked away. He felt this time was better spend in the data center rather than in a Texas heatwave." /Morgan Freeman
  3. There are only two PUBLIC boat ramps on Austin, but numerous more private ramps, and only the public ramps have no-wake zones, while the private ramps are the wild west. Apache Shores, Quinlan Park, Steiner Ranch, Lake Hills, Emma Long... lots of ramps not names Walsh Landing or 360 that are not protected. 360 bridge area is a No Wake zone, but no one respects it. Granted, it was kinda just put there after one of the Dell Match Plays and they never removed it, which is really irritating if you're trying to make it from Hula Hut to Ski Shores in a timely manner.
  4. https://brazos.org/About-Us/News/Current-News/ArticleID/2073#:~:text=Per Texas law%2C it is unlawful for anyone to%3A&text=Operate a personal watercraft and, vessel recklessly or unnecessarily close.&text=Operate so as to cause a hazardous wake or wash.&text=Operate within designated "no wake, creating a swell or wake. It's Texas Law Per Texas law, it is unlawful for anyone to: • Operate a personal watercraft and jump the wake of another vessel recklessly or unnecessarily close. • Operate so as to cause a hazardous wake or wash. • Operate within designated "no wake" areas except at headway speed without creating a swell or wake. EDIT: https://tpwd.texas.gov/regulations/outdoor-annual/boating/operation-of-your-boat Again, hazardous wake or wash is a judgement call, but when you cause damage to another boat or property due to your wake, that, in my eyes, is the epitome of dangerous wake.
  5. Not saying the boat should be illegal, but over-ballasting and throwing a 6' wake behind your boat on a crowded summer weekend is dickish and should be illegal. Creating issues for lakefront properties, other boaters so you can blast crappy music and surf behind your boat for 50 feet before you fall and have to get picked up... Lake Austin doesn't have the big boys running around, just a bunch of surf boats making it damn near impossible to enjoy the lake on any other boats. And when your wake is nailing boats loading on a trailer or a boat hoisted out of the water, then 🖕...
  6. Man, those replies are fire. License plate frame says it's offroad, so why not?!
  7. I saw this on the news a few months back, was wondering if TxTow was out on parole... https://www.fox7austin.com/news/residents-mueller-apartments-lack-of-security-aggressive-towing
  8. And I bet 50% if not more are a capacitor issue that you could self diagnose and fix if you have a multimeter and half a brain. Capacitors cost around $20 at Ferguson HVAC supply (two locations in Austin). Although, I am forgetting the drain pipe clogging.
  9. Did you get a TX Number off the boat? I'm pretty sure if their wake is the direct cause of that kind of damage, they could be held liable. This is, of course, my number one fear of launching / trailering from the POA park ramp, as every other clown in a wake boat tries to get as close as possible to the swim area and courtesy dock.
  10. Hell, not BS, and I wish it happened more often. Too many people operating unregistered / uninsured vehicles on Texas roadways, and if you're going to live at an apartment complex, they don't want liabilities sitting around their property. I'm not saying there's a direct correlation between those that don't pay registration fees and those that operate their cars uninsured, but I'd bet if there was a Venn diagram, it'd have a large overlap. (Expired registration is right up there with expired paper plates in my book.)
  11. Between that one, and this one: https://www.kvue.com/article/news/local/lake-travis-boat-jet-ski-crash/269-f3ba3479-6a3e-4eeb-9eda-39479df1eb8e I've heard at least the Lake Austin one was likely caused by excessive wake. Wonder it that'll ever come to a blow and people start getting ticketed for dangerous / damaging wakes?

  15. Following some clown car going down 360 yesterday, every five seconds ashing her cigarette out the window. Right about the time we get to 2222 and 360, cigarette butt gets tossed out the window. Bitch then flips me off for flashing my lights at her. Like listen here, cunt, this place is one spark away from another 100 acre brush fire before the fire department even gets a call. Luckily, she looks beyond the age that would allow her to procreate any further.
  16. This along with your avatar mesh up so well...
  17. I have it narrowed down to two, A or D. Can I use my 50 / 50? MOTHER F***...
  18. The do unscrew to refill... And never underestimate someone who's willing to piss in a shampoo bottle. Also, if the shampoo bottle smells like piss, don't trust the conditioner, either.
  19. I feel like some of these surely have to benefit from a shower if nothing else.
  20. Well, did you get off from him fondling your nuts?
  21. That is BS. The Austin Recycle center takes for all of Travis County. I make an annual run for dropping off all the odds and ends TDS won't take (e.g. batteries, paint, etc.) although I haven't tried the brush drop-off. They used to take it at the reuse center, but now you have to drive to Hornsby Bend to drop off any brush, and it's a good 45 minute drive to get there, so I'll pay the 15 bucks to drop it off at TDS. Now the one that irks me: City of Austin will pay to put in a rain capture system on your property, and will plant trees on your property. I would really like to see all the wasteful spending we have on the tax-payer dime and start trimming some fat (looking at you, homeless services). Ain't no way we're spending more per homeless individual than we are on anyone else in this county. But the homeless services division is thriving in City hall, and we have 2 hotels that are slated for homeless shelters, but 2 years later they're rotting on the foundations.
