  1. Great finish by AU not to blow that one. Well done, Tigers. War Eagle!
  2. Big East Mayhem! So looking forward to attending the Big East again in a couple weeks.
  3. Auburn is amazing at how poorly the offense plays when they get a big lead. I know, this is a monster rivalry game and that lead was not going to be maintained but, against a ton of other teams they can make a lead disappear in an instant. That’s one reason I am not sold on this AU team getting to the Final Four. Can they? Of course but, I’d not bet on it. Crazy game for us at Pitt today with our two starting guards out of action. That meant the bench had to get involved and they actually had to run an offense, rather than the dribble for 20-25 seconds with nobody moving without the ball and then a bad shot late in the clock. Yeah, it was a win over Miami, who is not having a good year but, it was fun to watch an actual offense. Got home to watch the end of the WVU at Baylor game. It’s always extremely enjoyable to watch WVU lose in gut-wrenching fashion.
  4. Some nice uniforms here.
  5. I didn’t have on my reading glasses. That’s my excuse. 😃
  6. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/43831911/former-football-players-sue-last-chance-u-portrayals ESPN.com now with a story about it all. "The most coercive tactic defendants used upon the plaintiffs was telling them if they did not sign the contracts, they were not eligible to practice," John Pierce, the lawyer representing the players, said in a complaint filed last week at Los Angeles County superior court. "In turn, they would not be eligible to play games, and their football skills would deteriorate. Inability to practice meant closing the door on what they committed their whole life towards, eventually playing professional football. Plaintiffs had no real negotiation or any meaningful choice except signing what was presented to them without ever being instructed of the purpose of filming or being advised to read through the contract in its entirety." The complaint indicates East Mississippi sold merchandise involving the players portrayed in the series but that the plaintiffs didn't receive any compensation. It also says Wright, Ollie and Franklin were portrayed in a false light, damaging their reputations.
  7. I can’t drive my oldies until the shit is off the roads. They dumped a shit ton of salt on the road last night, just for flurries. It’s almost as if they say “we have to dump the salt because we paid for it” rather than letting it stay until next year. Too much salt & cinders on the roads to take the good cars out.
  8. So awesome ☝️ Such a beautiful car.
  9. Oops. I guess I just reckoned that folks wouldn’t search out most of the movies that I watch since I’m not really mainstream.
  10. I didn't know that. Was that just an on-the-field? or the whole post-game? He should have sat for them in the lockers.
  11. That's good. I don't root for guys to get hurt.
  12. I’m looking forward to the Big East Tournament this year. St. John’s, UCONN, Creighton, Marquette could make for a fun semifinal.
  13. For Fuck’s Sake these games take forever to finish, UCONN v Creighton. I just saw the little clip concerning the Gator who got hurt tonight. Any word on how bad it is?
  14. Nobody can score this last minute and a half. Good game though, kind of a palate cleanser after watching Pitt & Texas. At least AU won for me tonight, and State Pen and WVU lost.
  15. Our shitastic second half of the season continued tonight at SMU. We were, at one point, 12-2. After losing at SMU a few minutes ago we are now 14-10.
  16. I think that Griffith’s character, in real life, was the first white man in Georgia sent to the electric chair on the testimony from two black men.
  17. I’ve spent a lot of time down in Coweta and the surrounding counties. Kind of funny to see Andy Griffith playing a character not in the same vein as Andy Taylor or Matlock.
  18. I didn't watch the halftime show back then either but, that was amazing!
  19. Oh, and Bradshaw’s is the only Super Bowl QB who averaged over 10 yards per attempt, 11.1 YPA. EDIT: I was incorrect with Mahomes passing yards, it’s 1,328, not 1,428
  20. I’d love to see some great drum lines out there. That’d be cool too. But, everyone loves dogs catching frisbees.
  21. Is a dig at Bradshaw? In four Super Bowls Bradshaw threw for 932 yards, completed 49/84 passes for 9 TDs & 4 INTs and a 19.02 yards per completion. The game is way, way different now. In his five Super Bowls Mahomes has thrown for 1,428 yards on 128/196 for 10 TDs & 7 INTs and 11.1 yards per completion. He’s averaged 18 more passing attempts than Bradshaw did. The beatings the guys took back then also make it impossible to compare QBs from then to now. Do you not think Bradshaw, or Stabler, or Kenny Anderson could thrive in today’s game? The passing game was so different back then as well. The passing game is also an extension of the running game. Mahomes is currently tied for 146th in career Yards Per Completion, and Bradshaw is 25th. Mahomes averages 14 more passes per game than Bradshaw did and 12 more completions than Bradshaw. These guys are all great QBs but, I think Bradshaw’s goofy on-air personality somewhat overshadows how damned good he was.
  22. I heard that. So bad.
  23. They try to ask what they think are such deep and probing questions and they just come off as pretentious.
  24. I hate these on the field interviews. The questions are so banal.
