  1. He wasn’t looking at the play when he started talking.
  2. I do not think Chip Kelly gets enough credit for what he has meant to the Buckeyes. Yes, he has the horses to do terrific things but, he puts his guys into position to make plays. He’s an excellent play-caller.
  3. It was a joke. I think he uses Walt Frazier’s Just For Men. Keep it natural. Go grey if it is to be.
  4. I don’t have an issue with his hair, that beard though……
  5. It was Lou Holtz’s final season at Notre Dame and we were playing out there. The rumors had already started about Holtz being pushed out in favor of Bob Davie. In the post-game press conference writers were asking for comments and I will give Holtz credit for one of the funniest responses I have ever heard from a coach. He said, and I am paraphrasing a bit, “if you want to know something you don’t ask the monkey, you ask the organ grinder”. Now, I must go out and shovel snow, ugh.
  6. Shut up Lou Holtz. Notre Dame hasn’t won a national championship since 1988. Those championships 50 years, and more, ago have no impact on this game. I don’t hate Notre Dame. I don’t root for Notre Dame. I’m not a Buckeye either. That said, I think if Ohio State runs the ball for a bit over 100 yards they should win. I don’t know if Notre Dame can stop both facets of their offense. The Notre Dame offensive line is beaten up too. That’s huge. I think it will be a very fun game and I would not be surprised if Notre Dame won as they seem to have “it”. I do expect Ohio State to win. And again, shut up Lou Holtz.
  7. That’s a really tough loss for Baltimore. Really tough. Not a great game for Andrews. The two-point pass though, I’d say, was a bit behind him and his body was going the other way. It’d be easy to say he should have caught it though. Baltimore shouldn’t have turned over the ball three times. They probably would have won if they had not, especially the Jackson fumble. If I remember correctly the Bills scored 10 points off the turnovers. I didn’t really care who won although I do not want KC to win the upcoming game. I don’t care about Philly but, I’ll probably root against them even if I think they will win. Jackson’s struggles in the playoffs are going to be magnified until he takes them to the Super Bowl.
  8. Hawk is the best I have ever seen in person. I have had the pleasure of knowing him for the last 30 years. He’s gone through some serious post football issues, as have many players but, he’s a legend, and the most beautiful runner I ever saw. He told me that there were two things that made him great; 1. His eyesight, hence the nickname Hawk, 2. He said he could be at full speed in two strides. You probably did run much faster, courtesy of Hawk!
  9. The Pride of McKees Rocks and Central Catholic H.S. The same school that brought you all Todd Orlando as DC
  10. Wasn’t that out of bounds tackle also the one, the hip drop, that they keep talking about it being outlawed?
  11. Well, technically I was moved out of the south. Born in Alabama at Maxwell. We also lived in Houston when dad worked at M.D. Anderson, San Angelo and San Antonio. Dad was USAF. We moved to Pittsburgh from San Antonio. But, I thank you. Hail to Pitt, War Damn Eagle and Hook ‘em.
  12. For his career Lamar as QB is 3-4 in the playoffs. Before that last pass he was 133 for 224 for 1,621 yards with 8 TDs, 7 INTs and the one fumble today.
  13. When I missed I pushed right. So I always liked being on the left hash. I never hooked left.
  14. Oh, I do the same. I was just pointing it out for those in Texas and other warmer climates.
  15. We can’t all be perfect.
  16. While in high school in Florida Derrick Henry rushed for over 12,000 yards.
  17. Once you get down to 20F it is really cold. It’s really not so bad at 30F but, that extra 10 degrees missing is a big deal. It would kinda suck to be in the stands for this one but, it might also be awesome.
  18. Man, that was close. Philly just about blew that. That stadium was quiet on first down of those final four downs. When the Chargers beat the Steelers in the AFC title game to then go on to play San Francisco in the Super Bowl was the quietest stadium I had ever been in as for fan reaction. That would have equaled, or surpassed, that. I think Baltimore gets it done in this one over Buffalo. Didn't he lose his job, too? I think I saw this week that he did lose his job. Asshole.
  19. That was almost an ankle injury there for Hurts.
  20. That was almost catastrophic for Philly. Crazy.
  21. This has been a very impressive sequence for Philly in getting out of their own end like that.
  22. A lot of Tweets out today from fans showing that preferential treatment. Did someone say last year that the Chiefs, with Mahomes, have not been called for a hold in any of the Super Bowls?
