  1. What do you all think about Scally? Mikey played at “Gladbach with him and they are friends.
  2. Boy oh boy, how many shots are they going to get in this half? Yikes.
  3. This year’s trip to Germany and then to the beach in France has been completed and I usually give a little update on the cars we saw. For the first time in a many years I saw a bunch of Rolls. This year I saw four. The Bentley sightings were plentiful around St. Tropez. I saw five cars and two of the SUVs. The Continentals are really beautiful. There is one guy I see each year who drives the courtesy car for I think the Hotel de Paris in St. Tropez and all he does is drive about a six-block square. This year he was driving a Flying Spur. And I just laugh because here he is driving one of the best cars, ever, and he can only drive about 20 km per hour, at tops. Saw three Alpine 110s, two were blue and one was white. I do like them. Saw a bunch of Ford Rangers. Saw about 10 Ford Mustangs. They were all newer models. Last year I saw a bunch of vintage Mustangs. Of course there were a normal numbers of Porsche 911s, always nice. We did see a decent number of Ferrari too. Two were Romas, which I find incredibly sexy. The funniest of the whole trip was the Dodge Ram in the parking garage in St. Tropez. I posted a picture of that in the parking thread. When I spent my first summer with the relatives in Germany I remember them telling me how all of our American cars “were sooooo big” and now I constantly remind them of all the Q7s, big BMW X7s and the big Mercedes SUVs that there are an how my cars are smaller.
  4. I wouldn’t want to be the guy laying down on one of these What a great shot!
  5. They are just so much better with the ball than our guys.
  6. Don't forget the lovely blonde gal in that movie was in the 1970s X-Rated Alice in Wonderland. The gal sitting next to the dude with the blue hat at 22-seconds on this clip.
  7. On the plane home from Germany I watched, Yesterday, it was still good. Then again, I am a sucker for the lovely Lily James.
  8. R.I.P. to one of the best. One of my roomies at Pitt had an uncle who played with West at WVU. Said he was a good dude.
  9. If true, I am glad Hurley has made this decision. He's in the perfect spot at UCONN. It's a basketball school. They are done with the football crap. He's 100% East Coast. I think the college game needs coaches like him.
  10. Not too much "pride" on display, although a lot of diabetes on display.
  11. Terrible weekend Russell attempts the pass and Piastri holds position.
  12. Such a shit weekend for Ferrari after the exhilarating weekend in Monaco. Perez, holy shit, terrible. Terrific weekend, so far, for Mercedes, 10 laps to go and they are in the hunt. McLaren is really turning into a fun team. One of these years I am looking to drive up to Montreal for this event. It looks fun.
  13. I did find it funny that the ESPN.com story made a point of writing that the team did wear its rainbow numbers for last night’s game.
  14. The guy’s final was just awesome tennis. The 4th & 5th sets were an amazing display by the kid. So impressive.
  15. https://www.history.com/news/chicago-college-all-star-game-nfl-1976 You are correct.
  16. 10 consecutive winning games for Swiatek, up 5-0 in the second set.
  17. Swiatek is starting to steamroll. Paolini can’t afford to fall behind a couple of games here to start the second set. EDIT: And Swiatek comes back from down to take the second game.
  18. I was never a Cowboys fan, and I never will be one but, I was an acquaintance of Mark Stepnoski at Pitt as we had a couple classes together. So, I followed Mark’s career and thus watched that great offensive line more than I normally would have. Allen was just an incredible football player. Rest In Peace, Big Man.
  19. I think she scored 30 last night, a career high, or tied her career high in the WNBA. Yup from ESPN: Clark shot 7-of-13 from 3-point range and 8-of-15 overall, tying her season scoring high (May 28 vs. Los Angeles) for Indiana (3-9). She also had 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals with 8 turnovers.
  20. Our family is excited. My Germans are excited, and prepared for disappointment since they've not done well at a national level since the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia. I'm rooting for Germany. I actually had the whole warmup from the 1990 team uniform. The jacket was just like the shirt, in white, and the pants were black with the flag stripes at the bottom of each leg. It was sweet and I looked damned good. 😏 I fully expect to be all excited And then I will be disappointed. And then, Bier
  21. that was good stuff. these guys are so damned impressive.
