  1. My buddy who works there said the rough is nearly impossible to get out of. The rain has been something else. Been a very wet winter/spring/start to summer
  2. On the drive to St Tropez Friday. Just fucking gorgeous
  3. That second half was amazing
  4. I’m in Germany and watched with friends, all Germans, and we all said the same things which were similar to what you said. Germany has no offense, none. Not since the Federation Cup in 2017. Terrible game tonight. Better team won for sure. At least my Bier was great.
  5. Her dad has a beautiful 850 and an M6. Fantastic cars
  6. I’ve never been a huge BMW guy. Our family has always thought the Bavarians were too whimsical but, some of their cars are awesome. I love the old 635 and 2002. Just beautiful
  7. I arrived at my cousin’s house in Germany and this was in the garage. A friend of her husband’s was out driving in his 1960 190SL and had some brake issues so he asked if he could park the car until he could get it sorted.
  8. A buddy of mine works there. He said a ton of players are going to be at Oakmont tomorrow. He also said one of the foursomes playing in the event tomorrow is worth a combined $1,500,000,000. We used to swim against Oakmont in the country club swimming association. We used to clobber them. Of course their youth golf team was very good. I worked three of the Opens and they were a lot of fun. One of our family friends was the club President when they cut down all the trees to take it back to its original form. Said it was nuts the calls they’d get at night from people complaining. My buddy J.R. Is in charge of the little kids who walk the course with the scoring placards. It will be his boy’s first Open. Me, I’m getting out of town today. I don’t want to go anywhere near Oakmont the next three weeks. Sitting at Dulles waiting to fly to Germany. I know folks who rent out their homes for serious money when the Open comes. It is a great course and a wonderful club.
  9. Towards the end I was confused as to why Redbull was telling Max to give the position back to George. I thought that when he and LeClerc made contact that it was on both of them but, then it was on George for that first hit. Seems to me there needs to be much better communication from Race Control. The contact between Max and George after the confusion on the radio was not a good look, not at all. Max should be beyond that. Although his radio communication from his pit were quite confusing. It's really odd seeing the Mercedes have reliability issues. Very good day for LeClerc. The McLaren are just such good cars right now and both drivers, Piastri more than Lando, are on top of it. You have to go all the way back to Alan Jones in 1980 for the last time an Australian won the title. I did not really hear anything as to why Yuki sucked so badly this weekend. That was bad. Hulkenberg getting by Hamilton at the end was certainly interesting. Nico was certainly surprised. Hadjar with yet another fantastic showing. Lawson two spots in front of Yuki. Nice to see Alonso finally get that monkey off his back. I didn't hear them say why the second Aston was not out there. Do they not bring a substitute driver? Although, if this is the beginning of the end for Lance I'm all for it.
  10. I’m not a huge fan of PSG but, I think they have been the club I have most enjoyed watching for the better part of a decade. Just a lot of fun and I really like the uniforms they are wearing today.
  11. Watched two of the three practice sessions from Spain and a lot of guys had trouble with the back end of their cars jumping loose, especially, it seemed, in Turn 10. Hamilton is just doomed to misery this season. At the end of P3 he was on the radio basically saying the car wouldn’t shift.
  12. Not a chance would I take Gobert if I was another GM.
  13. Pacers just don’t let them get close enough
  14. WNBA has concluded it's investigation into the racism charge towards the Indiana fans and found that nothing could be corroborated or substantiated.
  15. A bit along the lines of what I suggested. I’d add a different compound on each of the five qualifying runs. Everyone has to run the five but, they can be in any order depending on temperature and time of day so the teams have some experimental latitude. Like others have said the cars are just too damned big and the course is too tight/confined. Two years ago when we were walking to the train station after the race we happened upon a storefront that had one of Clay Regazzoni’s cars and it looked like a go-kart compared to today’s cars.
  16. I don’t know what I was expecting from Holmgren when he came into the league but, he has the chance to be something special for a long time.
  17. After reading that I agree with you.
  18. Their website, at FoxSports, looked like it was fresh out of 2004. Amateurish
  19. Chip really knows how to run an IndyCar team. He’s a bit of a strange cat but, all of my dealings with him have been good.
  20. It really is crap as far as racing goes. It really isn't even a race anymore. Perhaps it should just be a timed event. Let everyone go out five times, score five separate laps and take the average of the five and have the winner. Sort of like a hill climb. It's just not really fun, as a race, of course the spectacle is a completely different story. Still, crazy ass weekend for Mercedes. Really terrible. Great day for McLaren. Well done by Lando cuz it is so easy to smack a barrier. It's kind neat that Max, as a single driver, is taking on the top two-car teams in the Constructor's race. Hadjar 6th and Lawson 8th, crazy! With Yuki 17th, ouch. Hell, even Ocon in 7th. Crazy world in which we live. The Ferrari radio at the end when Hamilton asked if the leaders were still a minute in front of him and the 30-second response was the Pizza Maker's Kiss. Too funny. Aston had better make hug damned strides early next season, or fuck them. Completely. Lance Stroll......😂
  21. Hawk, aka Tony Dorsett, is a Hopewell High graduate. His mailing address growing up was Aliquippa. The field at Hopewell is named for Dorsett. Hopewell H.S. has not put out a lot of football players, of course, after TD, there is nowhere to go but down. Rushel Shell and Paul Pozluszny are the only two that I can really remember that did much. Paul was much better than Shell. Shell was a knucklehead. Shell had a great high school career and broke all of Dorsett's record, over 2,000 yards his junior and senior seasons and just over 9,000 for his four years. His talent did not transfer as well as Paul's. Paul played LB at Penn State and played 10, or 11, seasons for the Bills & Jaguars. Shell quit at Pitt and then transferred to WVU where he had some success but, it did not translate to the NFL. Technically, as is the case for many communities around here, Hopewell surrounds Aliquippa. Aliquippa had all the people who worked in the mills and Hopewell were the "hick kids". Now that the mills are dead the towns are dead and the white people, for the most part, live in Hopewell and the black people, for the most part, live in Aliquippa. It's a strange phenomenon around here in that the steel towns were along the rivers and the outlying areas had the land but, no people. Now, many of the steel town high schools could be absorbed into the outlying schools. Some already have and more should. If you were to walk from Tony Dorsett Field to Aliquippa H.S. stadium it is 2.4 miles. Danny Rains, a teammate of Dorsett's on the Hopewell team went to Cincy and played for the Bearcats and spent about five seasons with the Bears, it was Ditka who gave him the opportunity. I'd bet someone got ahold of Ditka's family down at the VFW and made sure Coach talked to Danny. Danny earned a Super Bowl ring with the 1985 team. I know Danny, not well but, I know him. I don't really know a lot from Hopewell. Other than my friend Johnene, who was a cheerleader at Pitt when I was there and another gal, Michael Ann and her family. Hopefully that clears up the confusion.
  22. Seems like Ms. Griner is in a bit of a situation after having fouled out against Indiana the other night. She looks to have been caught, on the bench, calling Clark “trash” and “fucking white girl”. We’ll see what, if anything, becomes of this.
  23. Ferrari communications are fucking awful. This is very close to what I think Hamilton is actually hearing from the pit wall.
  24. I think there are a lot fewer of them out and about than before the sanctions/war. I know many of them have left Baden-Baden in Germany. They were everywhere there.
