  1. EDIT: The loss in the Cotton Bowl was tough because Pitt was going in to score before Joe McCall fumbled at the goal line and it was recovered by SMU. Danny also threw an INT, I think in the 4th quarter, in the end zone. Dickerson ran for 124 yards on 27 carries. Danny completed 19 of 37 passes for just 181 yards.
  2. Syracuse (5-1) at Pitt (6-0) tonight on ESPN We have not been 6-0 since 1982, when Danny was playing QB and the season after Jackie left for A&M. That was the team that lost, 7-3, to SMU with Dickerson & James, in the Cotton Bowl. Pitt was ranked #1 to open that season before opening with a pretty good UNC team on a weeknight. Pitt won, 7-6, but dropped in the polls, even though UNC was ranked #5. Kind of did not make sense. The Panthers kept winning until a not fantastic Gerry Faust coached Notre Dame team with Allen Pinkett came in and pulled an ugly upset. Pitt then won its next two games before losing to #5 State Pen, 10-19, up there in Crappy Valley. Hopefully we can win tonight before heading to SMU for the next game, Nov. 2. and a chance to go 8-0, which we have not been since 1981. Also, hopefully nobody dies at our tailgate tonight like the fellow from Cal did at our last game here in Pittsburgh.
  3. But hey, don’t forget they have a White Out coming up in two weeks! We Are!!!!!!!!……..
  4. Pre-10-year old me thought this movie was awesome. It still holds up pretty well for kids today.
  5. Don’t forget that fucker, Franklin, meddled in the rape investigation during his time at Vanderbilt.
  6. I confess that at times I do fall back into Yinzer Vocabulary, and there is nothing wrong with that. Mount Lebo is hardly where you find Yinzers, upper-crust WASPS and well to do Catholics, yes. 🤣 The airport is being completely redone.
  7. Mikey made the list at CB for MLS Next. He went up and down with the first team this season.
  8. Hershey is on the other side of the Appalachian range, he's not a Yinzer.
  9. Before the Timberwolves game, Redick said he was "thrilled to be a part" of the "historic" occasion of LeBron and Bronny entering the season on the same team. Redick said he consulted the father and son to get their input on how they would prefer their first game action together to play out. "We had a couple conversations around it," Redick said. "I think everybody is on the same page. We want it to sort of make sense, and we want it to happen naturally and in the flow of a game."
  10. Wow! Those are great!
  11. I do like the Genesis vehicles. They are nice. I am not on board with the self-driving thing. I don’t mind the Smart Cruise, the Lane Assist, etc but, as for driving, I’m lucky enough to live where driving is still enjoyable. I enjoy driving. I think because our family vacations had us kids tossed into the back of the station wagon and Dad would drive us back down to Georgia & Alabama and road trips are just part of our family history. For me, my rule of thumb has always been, if it is east of the Mississippi I’m driving.
  12. I’m out. If they come back and win it will be incredible and I will lie and say I saw it.
  13. He’s lived a lot in his 46 years.
  14. With all the flags thrown tonight….none on that hit? edit: shoulder to shoulder but, still looked a bit late after the ball was already incomplete
  15. Terrible throw there by Lamar. Great job by the Tampa guy to get that ball but I think he was down
  16. Here’s ESPN’s take on the story. https://www.espn.com/wnba/story/_/id/41927950/wnba-players-opt-cba-face-potential-work-stoppage
  17. Derrick Henry is a bad dude. So is Lamar Jackson.
  18. Big stop there. This game is entertaining
  19. I like Evans, I hope he’s not badly hurt. And, Baltimore’s defense is looking bad.
  20. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/41930672/griffey-sr-jr-hand-bronny-potential-debut Ken Griffey Jr. & Sr heading to Los Angeles to witness history!
  21. Yay, #2 & #3 in largest payrolls set to face off! Yankees − $303,322,047 v Dodgers − $249,823,654
  22. My brother and I have talked a lot about this sort of thing. My 1998 911 is a great little car. It is fun and you do have to concentrate when you are driving a bit aggressively on the back roads. My brother asked me one time how I would drive if I took the car to a track. I responded that me having that car does not make me drive like Michael Schumacher and that I’d drive, at most, 6/10s. Look at those videos of the idiots coming out of the Cars & Coffee events and how they wreck, it’s ludicrous
