  1. Only box wine and bud heavies for celebrations from here on out: This is what I did for WS Game 1 last year. Probably saved 10% over presale prices.
  2. Here are Stanek's numbers compared to Abreu, Neris, and Montero. Seems clear that he should be the 4th option. 3. His FIP, WHIP, and BB/9 ae all higher than his ERA would lead you to believe. The bullpen hasn't pitched a single inning where the game couldn't have turned on a single pitch aside from the middle innings of ALDS game 1, so it makes sense to me that you would avoid a guy who walks too many.
  4. A couple things from the above: 1. If Vasquez can keep Framber in line, it would be shame to have him on the bench tonight. 2. We can't let Stanton beat us tonight. If I was Boone, I'd bat Stanton and Judge back-to-back.

  6. We should make a change at DH. This is what will probably happen. This is what should happen.
  7. Counterpoint: we let him work it out and win the WS MVP a la 2017 Springer.
  8. Bader is going to be the Kike Hernandez of this series. Hopefully he cools off in a similar fashion.
  9. One of these days our liners to the right centerfield gap have to start falling, right?
  10. Unless you pitch him on two days' rest in game 4, which there should be no need to do, or skip JV in game 5, the game 2 starter gets his second start of the series in game 6 on regular rest. I suppose we could pitch Framber on short rest in game 5 and pitch JV in game 6 on five day's rest, which would be in line with how we used him when we used a six-man rotation.
  11. It is, but the game 2 starter shouldn't have to pitch on short rest at all. The schedule is 1, 2, off, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, so the game 2 starter would pitch game 6 on regular rest. JV has game 5, so why would the game 2 starter's ability to pitch on short rest matter?
  12. Wouldn't this mean he should start game 3:
