  1. As far as I can tell, he seems to be slightly below average in LF. He won a GG in 2019, but that doesn't mean much. 2. Pretty sure the last time we saw Castro he hit a go ahead home run. Now it seems likely he is going to retire.
  3. I think Peralta would be fairly inexpensive.
  4. Bregman and Yuli are in the lineup today. Chas and Jake are not.
  5. It's terrible. Pace with a hint of tequila.
  6. If Siri can get us these guys, I am all for it. Someone else can pinch run and come in as a defensive replacement in the playoffs: https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/b/bassan01.shtml https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/o/okertst01.shtml
  7. Yeah, and maybe Mullins isn't as good as he looked last year:
  8. That was my take away from the Benintendi package as well. Maybe the market wasn't that hot for him, but we should be able to get Bell, Contreras, and/or an OF like Peralta for reasonably cheap. I'd like to see us add an arm in the pen, but if it works out that we end up with two or three bats, I can live with that.
  9. And hasn't even started swinging a bat again.
  10. Not that the division is in serious jeopardy, but if the current scores hold, we will have given up all of gains we made by sweeping the Mariners last weekend.
  11. Maton can't locate his breaking stuff. So he'll probably groove a fastball to a guy who can only hit fastballs. Awesome.
  12. He spells it with a K, which is pretty fitting.
  13. We just gave up back-to-back homers to guys who combined have fewer than 10 HRs and are hitting below .400. Great.
