  1. These days I do all of my drinking while smoking full-bodied cigars. So I'm not sure that I would be able to pick up on any subtle differences. That said, I still enjoy it, and have gone through multiple bottles of the Saz version.
  2. I get the meal simple chipolte-lime or southwest chicken breasts and a pack of carb sense tortillas when I am looking for a quick and easy low carb meal. Not too bad when you add a little of the El Gallo jalapeno salsa. I am not a fan of the steak offerings.
  3. Quit a pack-a-day cigarette habit in 2010 by switching to cigars. Eventually got to the point I didn't care if I went a few days without a cigar, and ended up unintentionally effectively quitting those as well. For some reason, perhaps boredom, I bought a can of Cope in 2016 after not having dipped since high school. It made my queasy, but I ended up diving back into a nicotine habit, eventually landing on Skoal Snus as my preferred delivery system. I signed up for life insurance back in October. As part of the process, I had to take a blood test that tested for nicotine use. That was enough to convince me to quit. Haven't had any snus since, but I would be lying if I said I didn't think about grabbing a can occasionally.
  4. One of y'all? Maybe Jerry Callo or Patricio?
  5. Check out the label on the back. The Sazerac bottles have the Sazerac web address. They also have the DSP number for the Barton distillery--DSP-KY-12.
  6. Noticed that too. I am also wondering if the nutritional information is correct. It seems like it would have more carbs per serving than what is listed.
  7. Dale is definitely going to be real into Q-Anon.
  8. Started it this weekend. I've only watched the first three episodes. I don't care about the present day storylines all that much, but the stuff in the woods has been intense. Misty is fucking crazy.
  9. This looks good. Do you use a slow cooker or the oven method?
  10. I'd swap the Pit Room and Feges, but otherwise I agree with this.
  11. That's in my daily drinker rotation along with WT101 and EWBiB.
  12. Maybe this one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Wilderness
  13. Snuck away from work today for a matinee. Thought it was great. As others have said, the acting was great, particularly when you consider the inexperience of the two leads.
  14. I had no idea BTAC was releasing today. I planned to run by the Bunker Hill Spec's on my way home from work and pick up a liter of Early Times BiB. Is it going to be a shit show?
  15. Best news so far this offseason:
  16. Bought an Oculus Quest 2 for my wife and me for Christmas. We bought the Walking Dead game, Thrill of the Fight, and some Star Wars games that were on sale. So far, all of the games have been awesome. The Walking Dead game is really immersive, and the boxing game is a legitimate workout. I'm in pretty good shape, and after three two-minute rounds I was sweaty and out of breath.
  17. Goode Co. Cantina on I-10 has some.
  18. Been making nog for a few years now. Thinking of making some coquito this year too. Anyone tried it?
  19. 1883 is streaming now. I'll probably watch it this afternoon. Cautiously optimistic it will be a toned down version of Yellowstone.
  20. Tried Daddy Duncan's last Friday. Worth a stop if you are in the area on a Friday or Saturday night. Unfortunately, it looks like Los Muertos closed permanently.
  21. Yeah, he's only open Friday and Saturday from 6:00 - 10:00 pm. Very odd hours for a BBQ place.
  22. Went to Daddy Duncan's in Katy last Friday. Brisket was very solid. Not as good as Truth, but damn good. The beef cheek barbacoa was fine. Also tried the collard greens, which were very good. They have smoked oxtails and pork belly burnt ends on the menu. I'll give those a shot next time. Definitely worth a stop if you ever find yourself in Katy on a Friday or Saturday evening.
