Or you could buy like a $200 airfare and go there.

I'll wait patiently for you to tell me whose fault that was.
The guy who crafted the virus in a lab... obviously.

Got the vaccine #1 on Thursday, happy hour with clients on Friday (masked between drinks, outside), was at a restaurant yesterday (masked between courses, outside)
How many seconds between last bite or drink and masking? You are playing a dangerous game outside and all 🙃

Is this the CDC saying masks are not relevant to preventing spread? Is this study indicative of masks or of the mandate to wear masks?

My kids spent much of quarantine on a 12000 acre ranch in south Texas.
Acreage is a beautiful thing. Especially now, even if it’s just a couple.

Think we’re going to start with the Baron after a lot of back and forth. The operating costs on the CJ don’t make sense with the distances we’ll be flying. We’ll apparently have access to a CJ and a Lear through the management company when we need more distance at an hourly rate. The Baron has a brand new interior, new paint, upgraded electronics, etc. and my half isn’t too bad. The guy that runs the management company would prefer it over the single engine setups with us having some trips that may run in the dark.
Barons are an awesome plane. My son recommends 100%.
Run those two engines LOP and you can get 24 to 28 GPH. Pretty efficient!

It's a big world out there and I would venture to guess just by your presence here on this particular message board there is a good deal of the "people" that you have little to no interaction with.
That is the truth. Hard to get your mind around it sometimes.

Health care workers and Republican numbers are astonishing to me.
All of those numbers are astonishing. Interesting that almost everyone I know has been vaccinated when able or plans to be vaccinated. I guess some people are not telling the truth.

Leaving in a week so I can support the US travel industry and the country of Belize. Got my GE and CLEAR ready to blow by the other 10 people flying.
I was able to fly RT on United for $475 which includes first class return. Used my AMEX flight credit to move to prem economy on the flight there. As of now. There is no one within 4 rows front and back of me going down.
I had a credit with Maya as well. Added $75 to them and they will do my return test which I plan to do the day after I arrive in the early evening. Which is within the 72 hours.
Got my N95 ready and hand sanitizer of course. Will also bring something to wipe down high touch areas in my room. Belize has a gold standard system that requires hotels to stay empty for 24 hours between visitors among other things.
What can I expect as far as in flight? Will I be allowed a few adult beverages or do I take mini's with me?
United has the drinks flowing in first class.

Don't worry, it will happen a lot more than you think. I had my 3 year old out front with me. I was sweeping the garage, she was playing in the drive way. I turn around to sweep a corner for less than 30 seconds, look up, and she's gone. She had already made it around the corner and to the mailbox. That was a heart stopping moment. Once they are mobile, they are deceptively fast.
So true. The little man is almost two and he would just keep walking to who knows where if I did not run up and catch him

What should we expect with the gas bill? There is a line item that indicates the cost of gas is variable. Centerpoint is my provider.
There could be a nice surprise.
It looks like Centerpoint is sending out trial balloons now. 😉

I just found this crazy breakdown of what happened in Austin, not sure if it's been posted here yet
TLDR: clown fiesta so bad that the Austin grid slowed down from 60hz to 59hz at the worst of the gap before the extreme load shedding. At that point, it means the physical machinery was so overloaded that it literally slowed down. It's a miracle the entire statewide grid didn't die with such a big section losing sync
Great link. Thanks for sharing. Another cool link I found in the comments shows time series of Ercot data. Some Reddit user put it together right after shit was hitting the fan.
