I had to go get my son from school for an orthodontist appointment. This is what I was driving in to.
The freeze broke my rain gauge so I have no idea how much rain we’ve gotten so far, but it’s been about an hour since that picture and we’ve had to have gotten a couple of inches of rain so far. It’s going to be an interesting week. You should be driving South, not North! Ortho appointments are cheaper in Spring then The Woodlands 😉

I think it's gonna be several weeks until stores & restaurants start updating their mask policies, and I'd wager a lot of places will never officially make an announcement saying "masks are no longer required."
That said, I think "enforcement" is already dropping off and will begin to wane precipitously. Even in highly complaint, inner-loop Houston, I'm seeing more and more unmasked folks at the grocery stores lately.
Maybe not too long.

OD'd.
Xanax laced with something is what I heard.
It seems there is something bad circulating Austin. My sister is a nurse at the Dell Seton, and she says there has been a spike in young professionals at tech companies around Austin that have OD'd. Oracle lost a few employees.

Damn. Not surprising that Nepal would follow India but the situation sounds even more dire given Nepal’s dependency on its southern neighbor.

Is that load bearing?

These folks have the brain capacity to fill a barrel, plastic container, or trash bag with gas.
Do they now have enough capacity to siphon the gas into their gas tank?

The US census should have told you that was a bad idea.

I was told there would not be shortages yet! Fortunately this reporter in SC wasn’t on it.

Whoops.
QuoteIn its own statement, the DarkSide group hinted that an affiliate may have been behind the attack and that it never intended to cause such upheaval. Like some other ransomware groups, DarkSide offers to sell its malware to others in what is known as “ransomware-as-a-service,” according to the cybersecurity firm Cybereason.
In a message posted on the dark web, where DarkSide maintains a site, the group suggested one of its customers was behind the attack and promised to do a better job vetting them going forward.

This happened on Friday. News articles today are repeating same thing as Friday. That seems concerning.

Although official attendance data have not yet been released, a survey of L.A. Unified parents indicated that about 17% of high school students would come back to campus.
Despite detailed planning, the majority of secondary school students in California’s largest districts will end their year much like it began — fully online, according to state data. For many, it will mean 17 or 18 months away from classrooms.
