  1. Barons are an awesome plane. My son recommends 100%. Run those two engines LOP and you can get 24 to 28 GPH. Pretty efficient!
  2. That is the truth. Hard to get your mind around it sometimes.
  3. All of those numbers are astonishing. Interesting that almost everyone I know has been vaccinated when able or plans to be vaccinated. I guess some people are not telling the truth.
  4. United has the drinks flowing in first class.
  5. I drank the water through the boil notice. I know. Kind of badass.
  6. So true. The little man is almost two and he would just keep walking to who knows where if I did not run up and catch him
  7. Father of the year award for me. I didn’t know he could climb ladders yet.
  8. I am flying to Abilene this afternoon to check on property. I will take some pictures of the carnage from above.
  9. Stop being ungrateful. Ercot saved the damn grid from catastrophe!
  10. What should we expect with the gas bill? There is a line item that indicates the cost of gas is variable. Centerpoint is my provider. There could be a nice surprise. It looks like Centerpoint is sending out trial balloons now. 😉 https://www.khou.com/article/money/consumer/200k-natural-gas-bill-centerpoint-says-they-are-working-on-billing-error/285-e788fa87-0b3b-4d7c-92f0-16300096fad2
  11. Pipeline integrity.
  12. Great link. Thanks for sharing. Another cool link I found in the comments shows time series of Ercot data. Some Reddit user put it together right after shit was hitting the fan. https://p.datadoghq.com/sb/5c2fc00be-393be929c9c55c3b80b557d08c30787a?from_ts=1613112177163&live=true&to_ts=1613716977163
  13. I can't wait to see what this line item is next month on my CenterPoint bill.
  14. It may depend on your model of water heater. I lost all pressure for 8-12 hours and just left the heaters alone. Once the pressure was back they went right back to working. I did go up into the attic to check them when they were without pressure and it seemed to me they went dormant and that’s why I left the heaters alone.
  15. Haha this. I’d love to be elsewhere but then my house would probably have imploded.
  16. My power has now been on since yesterday afternoon (after being off since Monday at 1 AM). I still don’t understand why power can’t be cycled. According to Centerpoint’s outage map people all around me don’t have power. Complete Frikin failure.
  17. HEB uses enchanted rock generators, which run on natural gas, as back up. Apparently their instruments work and they can function in extreme temperatures. Novel concept.
  18. Power is back in 77389. That was a nice 33 hour rolling blackout. Still no water but I prefer my heaters heating the house.
  19. Today or yesterday?
  20. Like the rep says. We fucked around and we found out.
  21. Keeping the infant warm. I think he is the only one that’s content. Until I have the pick him up to bring to mom to nurse again and change his diaper on the frigid changing table.
  22. 27 here! I think I get a centerpoint artic mug if I hit 36 hours. Question: when all the faucets in my house have become a slow trickle that probably means the water pressure from the main is low? Water temperature in house are still reasonable. I’ve managed to keep the interior between 64-66.
