  1. Listening to 5/8/77, playing poker on annual ski trip, good shit…
  2. Heading to Keystone tomorrow afternoon. Annual guys trip with 25+ year stretch with same 5-10 dudes. Couple lean years with marriage and kids, but game on tomorrow. dallas and austin guys departures pulled forward to skip the thursday ice, tomorrow it is.
  3. Nah, it’s got tremendous depth and diversity of music and news. Flipping through channels 15-35 gives everything rock related you could be in mood for, old and new. Plus pro sports all through the app. And the standup comedy stations are solid. I drive enough that firing up my iphone for spotify every time i start the car is a whip.
  4. Got Tweedy tickets. I’ve seen Wilco like 10 times, never the solo stuff. #dadrock
  5. I just got the automated renewal for two platinum radios for a laughable $334, time for the annual 20 minute negotiation
  6. Similar deal with my wife. Pretty hard core athlete who didn’t ski until early 30s. It’s part of the family vibe with the kids now, but there is a lot to be said for learning to ski that late.
  7. Any thoughts on how the apple storage works with an ancillary PC? I’ve got pretty basic needs to just save “family business” docs (pdf, xls, sheets, etc) in an organized folder hierarchy that we’d create. I’ll never use a Mac for work and vice versa for my wife. And the whole family uses Iphones coupled with gmail reliance for personal and now work.
  8. Looks like for a family like ours with a combo of mac’s and pc’s, gmail accounts for work and personal and several iphones that going all in with google with their photo app coupled with google drive should let us kill drop box and apple storage upgrades. The reviews indicate the google photo apps plays nicely with apple. I’ve got a slew of old hard drives I’ve historically used for taxes, mortgage and stuff but if they ultimately require cloud backup as a fail safe measure then i think i’m ready to surrender fully to the cloud gods.
  9. Over the years the family has ended up with too many options. Drop box from the beginning for taxes, mortgage and personal stuff, then got into the Apple ecosystem with Iphones mostly for photos (with storage fees now, amplified with kids) and i’ve had a gmail address forever with minimal use of their storage. I’m looking to consolidate everything and am curious what others do.
  10. I’m looking at Lexus GX460s, 2015-17. Carvana has a few “good” pricing deals vs other traditional dealerships. Pricing aside, anyone have good or bad experience with Carvana? I saw cargurus mentioned upthread but they appear to be an aggregator like cars.com and even list vroom and carvana cars.
  11. Two daughters, two results (they are young, no surly pic jokes)
  12. Meh, 7 ct is perfect imo. Enough time to get away from work and do dinner.
  13. Greensky Bluegrass is quirky fun
  14. Tested positive 12/26. I was not prepared for the brain fog and fatigue hanging around as long as it did. Had zero panicky breathing symptoms, but felt like I was on a steady diet of dummy sandwiches.
  15. Sorry, fair point to all posting. I’ve got 20’ish years on the other side of the table. I’ve bought and negotiated acquisitions, software, audits, consulting, hardware, etc. I cringe at generic sales pitches and am the asshole who is often angry when you show up. Without anyone outing themselves, I am genuinely curious what kind of money is being brought home. I’ve got no doubt having a quota is not “fun”, but there is a lot of angst pitched here and i wonder why.
  16. Lots of generalities here. What kind of annual take home are woven into these stories ?
  17. Really good. Stellar acting and chemistry from hoffman and haim. Cooper and Penns roles seemed shoehorned in a bit.
  18. Enjoyed first few seasons, but this current one is embarrassingly terrible garbage.
  19. IMO they are both fine options based on how the town is set up, just depends on your traveling crew details. There is a free bus that loops between the town and mountain and is like a 5-10 minute drive depending on stops. It gets a little sleepy on the mountain at night and there’s way more bars and restaurants in town. So either enjoy ski in/out’ish on the mountain and bus it into town for dinner, or enjoy the town offerings for happy hours / dinners / shops and bus up and back to ski. Literally can’t go wrong. If you’ve never done CB a rental house in town steps from a bus stop and walkable to elk avenue is probably ideal. But if you have a crew of younger kids (where gear and getting to the slopes can be a beating) then something on the mountain may be better. There are a couple mountain neighborhoods away from the main base that are a bit out of the way which would be my third choice, but not a bad one.
  20. I can’t speak to Pfizer/Moderna combo, but 2500 is super high. I scored like 750 in mid December after second Moderna in April and was scheduled for a booster this week but the Chron beat me to it. My only question is how/if a booster helps someone already at 2500.
  21. mobile unit in barton creek mall parking lot. wife / kids just got through quickly.
