  1. What was that black spider looking thing with human hands?
  2. Mercedes turning up their power units as a last effort against Redbull is quite the gamble with this many races left. I get they have been the most reliable engine manufacturer but if you get this one wrong just once then the whole thing is over. Based on the pace they have with the engine turned up though Hamilton has a real shot at beating Verstappen. Probably greater than 50% chance.
  3. The anticipation! I wonder what kind of money Colton would bring to Alfa. Are American corporate sponsors taking notice in the growing interest in motorsport? I don't really buy into Americans clamoring for an American driver. Americans supporting an American winner? Different story.
  4. He who has not given an over the pants butthole tickle may cast the first stone? I think the issue is more about leaving his team when they are 0-4 and haven't looked remotely competitive. The rest is just funny.
  5. With all of this time and money spent on the new cars I am pretty excited to see how teams interpret the regulations. Half the reason I pay attention is that formula 1 is a constructors sport. The drivers may get the glory but in reality it's all about the engineering. The creative shit they pull off is insane
  6. It's such a shame because you can see he is a talented driver. His car does him no favors but you have to think with 2 years of development and all of the ferrari engineers donated to Haas that he will have a better car to work with next year
  7. Our Oline is below average at pass blocking and communicating. Our oline is average at run blocking and above average at outside zone. It’s good enough to score points. our defense is the least athletic i have ever seen it. Our defense is trash
  8. Are you suggesting that it is possible Samples ends up at Texas next season in some capacity?
  9. Just incase you haven't seen it enough this week
  10. Do you mind if i ask where you teach? I am half way through the Data Science masters program at Northwestern. There are so many garbage programs available it’s hard to tell what is good and what isn’t. The program has a heavy math requirement and the core classes cover just about every topic. So far it feels like i am paying for a worthwhile degree.
  11. You sound really tough.
  12. It's definitely coming from Tony. The story about the locker room to the SI writer came directly from khan
  13. If he gets boat raced by the Titans this weekend then I think they pull the trigger and fire him. I will laugh all the way to an 0-17 record with Charlie Strong as the head coach. They probably promote Darrel Bevell instead.
  14. So fucking soft. All game
  15. I just saw this on Reddit. I know it's an old joke that Porsche and Audi are always interested in joining Formula 1 but never do. I assume this means they are going to join as an engine supplier rather than a full racing team
  16. There are some stupid fucking people in the comments of that article.
  17. I mean it's not just COTA, people are predicting Miami 2022 to be about the same price. I am prepared to spend $900-1000 on 3-day GA tickets for me and the wife. I have a buddy who is also going. He plays on the European Tour and his management company represents Mark Weber and Damon Hill. We are hoping to get some upgraded tickets through the agency but they aren't sure what they can do because interest is already high. It has to be all of the Drive to Survive people wanting to see a race for the first time.
  18. I watch quite a bit of the Goonzquad boys. They are goofy redneck kids that mostly buy and rebuild wrecked cars.
  19. It gave me BYU 2013 flashbacks thats for sure.
  20. I don't get this line: "The Americans seem to have lost interest in their multi-billion dollar toy." Formula 1 is exploding in the American market. Viewership is up almost 50% and ESPN is promoting races and stories pretty heavily. Seems like an odd take unless he is referring to Liberty not spending time and money to grow the sport in Asia.
  21. Of course last night i said Gio doesn’t really outperform his car in qualifying and here he is doing just that
  22. Oh wow i missed the financial support piece. That would be big for either of those teams.
  23. I agree. He rarely outperforms his car in qualifying and while he is typically strong on the first lap his race pace isn't fantastic. As cool as it would be to see Albon get that second seat I could see ferrari push Mick to the second Alfa seat (or keep him there to help fund Haas) or Robert Schwartzman gets placed in Alfa because he is the Ferrari Driver. Alex probably has a better future in indy car at this point
  24. This is what pledges are for.
  25. I am surprised no one is talking about this story out of Italy: https://www.formu1a.uno/opinione-ferrari-cauta-coraggiosa-ma-la-sf21-e-un-ottimo-passo-avanti/ It seems like Ferrari were the ones sandbagging things. Picking up ~40 horsepower during the offseason is massive. I get that most F1 teams don't really care about pure hp numbers, but to bring back that straight line speed gives them a chance to steal more podiums than they did last year. I really think they are going to make the battle for third place more interesting than it was last year.
