It may be coming back but that was another really nice catch by number 15 for App State. That kid can flat out play Edit: if this is targeting, it has never made sense to me that it can be an "offsetting penalty." How targeting in proportional in any way to offensive holding? In that situation, I feel like it should at least be an automatic first down even if there's no yardage added on. Anyway, the announcers don't seem to think it was targeting but I have long since given up trying to decide what it is or isn't. It's never consistent Edit Part 2: not targeting so the whole offsetting discussion is moot. I still feel like targeting (or any personal foul) is significantly worse than holding

Hell of a catch there. App State is refusing to go quietly into the night and I'm hoping they can make some more noise

Texas Recruiting Notes 2027: I remember watching his dad play
This. Bryant looks fantastic but I'd take Bell over every QB I've seen in the 2027 class in a heartbeat. That said, Tech is getting to be real a pain in the ass. Assuming there's any truth to some of the rumors going around, I really hope Sark gets his shit together, personally and professionally, so we can remind those jackasses of their place. aggy too. Reestablishing our lead for Meredith would be a fantastic start

Downside: Hawaii did not recover what was a pretty solid onside kick by Matsuzawa so there will be no bonus football Upside: I'm pretty buzzed, rapidly approaching drunk, and the DoorDash guy is headed towards me with some P Terry's. Even with a lack of overtime, life is looking pretty good right now

Matsuzawa with the good FG. Now we just need Hawaii to recover the onside kick and gift us all some bonus football on what's been a pretty decent day of games

Texas vs. Vanderbilt - 11am on ABC
I agree completely. I think it was @Park Gothic who had a great post a few weeks back about the possibility of a leadership void on this team. I think we also have a smaller number of guys who are leaders or just dogs who lead by example. I don't think it's non-existent but it could sure as hell stand to improve. I'm hoping Baxter and some others will step up because there's clearly plenty of talent. Unfortunately, though Whittington, Barron, Roschon, Mukuba, Bijan, Bolden, etc. aren't walking through the locker door these days.

Texas vs. Vanderbilt - 11am on ABC
A lot of people who are (very justifiably) complaining about the secondary and the awful prevent defense are also significantly downplaying just what a huge deal it was that Taafe and McDonald were out. Those two are critical to making everything work the way it's supposed to work. Anyway, I would now argue that our 7-2 team has 2 wins that are better than any of undefeated A&M's win. Vandy would beat ND's ass and I think OU would win a close one. Bringing up LSU should get you roundly mocked

Texas vs. Vanderbilt - 11am on ABC
This. There was egregious holding on almost every one of Vandy's offensive snaps and the game should have been over with the missed DPI on Mosley. There are a couple of others that I can't think of right now because I'm kind of shell shocked after that 4th quarter

It's crazy to me that the governor of Louisiana stepped in to get this done. Say what you want about Texas football from 2010 through 2022 and current. We have never been a "governor-steps-in-and-overrules-the-AD-to-fire-the-coach" level trash fire- Texas vs. Kentucky - 6:00pm on ESPN

Wow. And right after the announcers started talking about how great Smart's halftime adjustments always are- 2025 Random Games thread
Holy shit. Nice play - I thought they were hosed- 2025 Random Games thread
And they just decided to make things a little harder for themselves Edit: goddamn, dude. Stop dancing and go forward - you could've had that first down- 2025 Random Games thread
Both of these offenses are bad. Really, really bad. Les Miles worst offense at LSU bad. Shawn Watson/Tyrone Swoopes bad.- Things not going well for James Franklin [FIRED]
Definitely not a showing that will put PSU fans at ease. 9 sacks allowed, 3/11 on third down, and 36 total rushing yards. Ouch- 2025 Random Games thread
That was an... interesting throw. It was way closer to the safety than it was to the WR. UNC's running back looks alright at least. I'm kind of torn on this one. Do I want Belichick to finish piloting UNC right into the side of a mountain? Absolutely. But I'd also like for the flight to go on for a little bit longer- 2025 Random Games thread
