  1. Here in Austin, InfoWars just set fire to a homeless guy's stuff and tried to blame the protesters. So, I guess it's pretty much a normal day at the office them.
  2. His cutting ability is definitely impressive, but I wonder about his top end speed (like everyone else). I definitely think his hands look elite for a running back. It'd be interesting to see them motion him out now and then and maybe run some Lil'Jordan type plays with him. Obviously, he's not 6'5", but his agility makes me think he might be able to do some cool stuff in that kind of role.
  3. Not as old school as the Nyarlathotep Institute.

    Malcolm Roach

This. Todd Orlando should be forced to compensate Roach for all of the money he likely cost him in the draft. Not first or second round, but definitely something. As it is, I hope he's able to show what he can do as a UFA.
  5. Is it Clendon Ross?
  6. He's not a great recruiter, no matter what his aggy bio says. I don't know what's on Rivals, but Hagen's not even in the top 25 on 247 for any of the years he was at aggy. I'm guessing he benefited from just being even sort of associated with the recruitment of guys like Isaiah Golden, Myles Garrett, and Daylon Mack. So, guys that were either always going there (Garrett) or guys who probably would have wound up elsewhere during most years. aggy constantly bitched about what a bad recruiter he was - this coming from the same group of morons who convinced themselves that Jim Turner was elite. He made Terry Price look great by comparison. And the lack of development of guys like Mack during Hagen's years there is not exactly ideal (Golden is obviously a different case altogether). In sum: this is a shit fucking hire.
  7. Yeah, but they couldn't even find a way to like Hagen when he was there. At just about any point, if I remember correctly. We all remember the Chief in a deer blind with his snuff boy, the fearsome Marine, and Terry Price, Ace Recruiter. There's always been a lot of insane hero worship for aggy. And all of them have basically had about as much impact on anything as a wet fart. And they were still better than Hagen. You are 100% correct:
  8. It's OK, guys. Our NSD2 woes are over cuz Herman went out and got Mark fuckin Hagen, a coach so fucking shitty even aggy couldn't mythologize him. I guess as long as Valai is paying enough that we don't really have to recruit, I'm ok with it. Otherwise, what an awful hire, especially from a recruiting perspective.
  9. I just popped in to this thread to say "holy fuck, that's an awful hire."
  10. That's a massive Vibrio outbreak just waiting to happen... Maybe it will be maroon Vibrio, though?
  11. Not saying these particular kids wind up going to Texas, but... I wonder what it's like to live in a world where Brandon Jones, Joseph Ossai, Javonne Shepherd, Chance Mock, Kris Boyd, Holton Hill, Malcom Brown, Malik Jefferson, Traylon Shead, Marcus Davis, Tim Cole, Jake Oliver, Patrick Hudson, Jeffrey McCulloch, Deandre McNeal, Keontay Ingram, Jalen Green, Josh Moore, Jordan Whittington, Moro Ojomo, and David Snow all went to aggy? I'm sure I left more than a few players off the list that chinpubes and crew were just completely positive aggy was getting, but I think you get the idea. And yes, I know a few kids we thought were Texas locks that went to aggy. But our list is just a little bit longer. Only slightly.
  12. Irony, thy name is "aggy."
  13. I think they're talking about Willie Tyler - the Iowa JUCO kid they recruited late in the 2019 class. Kid was definitely a project, but I know the staff felt like all of the physical traits were there. The good news is that I'm pretty sure I remember that reading Tyler Johnson has also been solid. Kool-Aid for everyone.
  14. If anyone would know "systemic issues," it's Baylor fans. Also, as a general rule, are you really even allowed to talk shit about school you've never beaten more than twice in a row in almost a hundred fucking tries? A school that beat you sixteen straight times at one point? When that same school went 2-1 against you during that programs darkest hour?
  15. Katy could have lined up Case McCoy at running back and rushed for 300+ yards behind that OL.
  16. When I went to the 2015 (?) Katy vs. Taylor game, there were two ancient looking guys sitting behind us who spent most of the game talking about some super talented kid named "Christian" from the area. They said he had a really bad attitude about football and school. I don't remember much in the way of specifics, but I think refusing to take practice seriously, being high all the time, and ignoring/mouthing off at coaches were all on the list. I obviously don't know for sure that they were talking about Wallace, but... Katy's OL looked like it was composed of full grown men. Katy had Rodney Anderson and Kyle Porter and both ripped off multiple 50+ yard TDs. My wife and kids felt bad for Taylor. /csb
  17. I know he's playing in 3A and some of the players are just a little bit smaller, slower, and less agile than you'd see in higher levels. But all you can do is dominate the team you line up against and he looks incredible. I have no idea what kind of prospect he is - just that his highlights are kind of ridiculous and the 4.5 number on his HUDL page looks pretty accurate to me. I'm curious to see if a bunch of other teams start recruiting him. Direct link to his HUDL for anyone that's interested: http://www.hudl.com/v/2CY43K
  18. Baylor is just big enough for the NCAA to make an example of them and still small time enough that no one who matters will really give a shit. In other words, I cannot wait to see how this turns out. Might take a couple of years, but the payoff is going to be SO worth it.
  19. Coming soon to the SEC: Fentanyl Hubbard.
  20. This. If he isn't coming here, I'm fine with him at Baylor. He'd be an absolute nightmare for us somewhere like OU or LSU.
  21. Are you saying that there may have untoward motives behind Jimbo's decision to meet with Uncle Ro before any other coach when aggy hired him? How dare you, sir. Jimbo is very obviously a man of great integrity - just ask Meemaw and Looch. He would never do what you're implying here. Covering up for a rapist and serial sexual abuser "good kid in a bad situation," on the other hand... Jimbo's all about second chances, you know.
  22. This. I thought he was going to be nails as a pass rusher. Anyway, even though neither had much of an impact on the program, there are many worse things in life than getting a free bachelor's from Texas followed by free grad school. Congrats to both young men on their degrees and best of luck at their next stops.
  23. Wow. He doesn't even look Cro-Magnon man or even a Neanderthal like Orlando and Ash. He's something much more early-primitive. More like Homo ergaster or even an Australopithecus. I fully expect him to be our DC after Ash.
  24. With plenty of background in science, too. So I'd say it's definitely much more likely to be the Hayden Connor/Frank Okam/Dallas Griffin type of focus on academics.
