  1. Who are the databrokers selling borrower details upon their credit pull? If it's coming from the credit bureaus themselves, I'll rage. Might as well use a Google Voice number for all contact from consult to closing.
  2. I love seeing the logo installed upside down on cars in Oklahoma-- not only did they go out of their way to display the brand, but they actually paid merchandise licensing fees to their primary rival to put their insecurity on display.
  3. Someone is having fun with Sherrone Moore's Wikipedia page:
  4. Tennesseee will work them before we get our chance in the Cotton Bowl. While it's convenient for last-minute ticket shoppers, I'd like to see our guys rip apart another lauded defense before the Jawja game.
  5. It took the Michigan game to reveal this? I recall messageboard laymen from other conferences (among spectators in-person) revealing our size and speed comparison the last two years with our home-and-home series with Alabama. The display of out-muscling and mauling them on the LoS in Tuscaloosa should have been the only observation needed to dismiss any claim some other team would "bully" Texas.
  6. I booked the chef's counter for Friday night at 8:00. Maybe I'll see you or @closetojumping there. Also noticed the MGM's parking garage is free, but can be a shit show to get out at peak times. I'm torn between Uber and a cheap car rental to get to AA. Not finding shit for details (route/fare/location) on shuttles from downtown.
  7. Well shit, now I'm adding a poncho to the bag, counting on light rain until the kick. 59° during the tailgate, 65° by the final whistle.
  8. Homebuyers' deflationary mindset not going away, 50bps FFR discount isn't moving the needle when -25bps is already priced in. Who can write me a 30-year conventional in Colorado, or at least talk to me about bridge options? I'm starting to explore my exit from Texas.
  9. I only figure that to accomodate the home crowd + signs and flags, but it would be awesome if they're facing our tailgate.
  10. The ESPN stage will probably face the opposite direction (toward State St). I'm not sure where the Fox Big Noon Kickoff setup will be, but in years past, I've read ESPN previously set up on the golf course across from Michigan Stadium.
  11. So far it's a lower chance of rain in the morning that diminishes to zero before the kick. The cold snap changes my game attire slightly.
  12. No, 48" glass is too small to notice any benefit from a 4K feed unless your nose is almost on the screen. The 4K premium upgrade is not recommended for ESPN or FOX broadcasts. Both networks are just upscaling 1080p feeds and are no longer distributing native 4K content: https://tvanswerman.com/2023/11/25/espn-is-done-with-native-4k-heres-4-reasons-why/
  13. Our visit next week to Ann Arbor will see the Michigan campus host both the Big Noon Kickoff and ESPN Gameday. I don't recall the last time both morning shows visited for the same game.
  14. Damn damn damn. I figured the S6 would be more fun being lower to the ground and lighter weight. Are you going to run a set of winter tires later in the year?
  15. Investors waiting for a party today on NVDA's earnings might wonder why the segment is flat today. Part of the AI sector's confidence was shattered this morning after activist short-seller Hindenburg Research released a wild report this morning on U.S. and Taiwanese computer supplier firm Supermicro. https://hindenburgresearch.com/smci/ In their report, Hindenburg Research alleges a history of accounting scandals at SMCI, a prior guilty plea of exporting banned components to Iran, and skirting sanctions through distribution partners to Russia, via three Turkish shell companies, among a Chinese state-run firm. Since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war, they estimate one components importer has received $46.3M worth of computer components from Supermicro. Supermicro delayed their annual filings this morning and have a 10:1 stock split scheduled for October 1.
  16. They finally did, by hybridizing all-the-things, dropping the V8, and issuing a new 3.4L twin-turbo V6 that spun its main bearings, eventually recalling 102,000 affected Lexus and Toyota vehicles. Somehow, the Tacoma and Land Cruiser are worse, with a hybrid 2.4L 4-cyl and failing transmissions. None of these vehicles will last to the benchmarks set by their previous generations.
  17. https://www.coloradoan.com/story/sports/csu/football/2024/08/26/colorado-state-football-tight-end-to-miss-2024-season-with-injury/74955129007/ TL;DR: CSU coach Norvell confirms starting TE Jaxxon Warren (UNT transfer) is out for the season from a recent injury. RS So DE Nuer Gatkuoth will miss the Week 1 game due to a turf toe injury.
  18. BA flies direct to Heathrow out of DIA now... it's fantastic. Also @crash_davis: I've been studying the same front range relo dilemma as you but have different thoughts on priorities, based on current impressions and development trajectory over the next decade or so.
  19. +1, and that smell's origin is well east from the county over. FoCo is my next destination and I'll learn to become a local Rams fan. Already marking down a trip for their game hosting Wyoming.
  20. ^furk. I'm expecting to get twice that figure for my 2018, but the realization sets in that it will take a lot longer and must be done private party. Also *ouch* with your state's use tax/registration scheme, based on MSRP. I'm gonna have to get used to that.
  21. I assume there will be a paid shuttle service from the MGM to AA that morning, though it needs to be really early to allow for time to enjoy a campus walk and the tailgates.
  22. It's a damn shame they removed the security checkpoints upstairs-- that used to be my fix for the massive lines downstairs at the main checkpoints. I assume DIA will be massively improved when all the construction projects are completed. Airport parking there still seems screwy, with all the recent vehicle breakins and catalytic converter thefts reported on site.
  23. That's a bigger indictment upon the FTC for failing to control 'consent farms' and domestic databrokers who are to blame for the bulk of on-shore spam calls we all receive with phone numbers harvested from applications, membership services, inquiry forms, and who knows what. https://www.businessinsider.com/consent-farms-spam-calls-robocalls-do-not-call-list-2023-8
  24. Steve / Gamers Nexus completely shreds Intel for their history of gaffes and sour culture, breaking down their timeline responding to the 13th and 14th-gen defects: Apparently Intel's subreddit moderator has been in damage control mode and moonlights as a reviewer/writer on staff for Tom's Hardware.
