  1. Remember when the BOMC thrived as well? Yeah, Pepperidge Farm remembers.
  2. John Parker Wilson, Jake Coker, Gerg McElroy, AJ McCarron and Jake Fromm on a dice set.
  3. Only if it translated to more bowl wins. I really dislike this conference, its officials, absolutely piss-poor management and joke of a marketing team so really, B12 hardware doesn't make a shit. Nobody outside the conference cares either.
  4. Gimp concession prize Big 12 hardware pretty much diminishes the value of the Conference Championship. Go take a long look at that Gaylord Focker Family Locker Trophy Room of all those conference trophies with little more than a participation XBox swag bag to show for their bowl appearance in those seasons. I'm just fine with that, because those OU fans who maintain the same levels of expectations and standards for their team are nearly as frustrated with their program as we are with Texas. That story hasn't changed for a long while, either.
  5. It's a B12 football game with Oklahoma in it. Nothing changes in this shit conference so why waste money in shithole Jerryworld?
  6. Even worse, realizing the opportunities in front of Strong were established upon a 2008 Tebow-UF MNC against OUsux who never should have been there in the first place.
  7. It's more remarkable that you have to nearly go back to the Greg fucking Davis days to find an offense scheme that had some form of progression or cohesion from what's coached around the state at the HS level. Sure, it's a little gimmicky and I'm a fan of mixing in power-run but the Air Raid and Veer/Shoot schemes seemed far too easy to plug in with a roster of 3* in-state kids by assigning speed where it mattered most and mixing up the same basic plays they already knew from varsity days.
  8. There's plenty of room for retreads out there. I sometimes pinch myself when I'm reminded Kevin Steele is the DC at Auburn.
  9. Is that a good thing if Tom is still pulling the puppet strings? Who's on staff with an actual pair of balls?
  10. Tom is either ignoring any feedback that requires change or is only comfortable with a pack of "yes men" around him. Neither will accomplish shit for the offseason when he'll be forced to make staff changes.
  11. Dipshit Patterson, Korn-Ferry dipshits and moneywhip alum dipshits?
  12. The two three-and-outs didn't help but OU has also extended two drives that led to points by way of the officials
  13. Not quite, the agenda is still pumping OU. Baylor has been fucked by three calls in this game, two of which led to 14 points. Fowler even called them out on a too-generous 3rd down spot that wasn't reviewed and offered an extra two yards that was converted.
  14. Do you follow recruiting? It's easy for me to like this Baylor team-- Rhule and this roster have nothing to do with RapeU and Briles. The program went through an exodus and are still not deep, talent-wise. This product is from Rhule and Snow.
  15. It's probably a piggy-back tune that consists of a harness and electronic box that fools various sensor inputs to induce an artificially-inflated boost target. Boom, mo powah. BMS JB4 and Racechip are fairly popular on these platforms. Reality: You gotta remove the cowl and a few other bits to get to the harness where the piggyback installs and you really shouldn't show up for dealership service with the piggyback installed. While the knock sensors still work, the piggyback can't alter ignition timing to account for better or worse fuel.
  16. It's Sunday night and Kevin Sumlin just fired his former DC (Yates) and LB coach (Rushing), who followed him over to UA from aggy. You hear that, Tom? It's just business, and if you intend to share your opportunity with your friends, you are held accountable for their performance. Pick up the phone.
  17. I think most have respected Phil Snow's tenures and he shows you don't need a lot of flash and youth to produce a talented defense. Hell, just this past weekend in Stillwater, he turned Sophomore Terrel Bernard into the conference Defensive Player of the Week, a former WLB who was moved to ILB when Clay Johnston went down. In that game, he tallied 9 tackles (5 solo), a fumble recovery and TD.
  18. Does "very beatable" align with "very good?" Watch the fucking games, I'm not anointing OU with some juggernaut label when they have glaring chinks in their own armor year in and out.
  19. I'm assuming you've been around as long or longer than most of us, albeit not on this message board. OU has backed into more conference titles and bowl games than we've had the luxury to play for due to various levels of ineptitude and fuckery. By and large, the talent gap hasn't been significantly greater for OU but they've coached within a discipline that more effectively plugs the next guy in, while we were switching identities with a revolving door of schemes and assistants. OU isn't a "very good" team for the theoretical ceiling they keep bumping into during bowl season. They might have all the play sheets figured out and can put up points but year in and out, a gap was revealed in depth, physicality, defense and/or special teams play.
  20. Sadly, we won’t get the RS4 Avant and there’s a chance the RS6 will be priced at a premium over the E63 Estate. Not helping the cause for wagons in the U.S.
  21. Rhule just signed a contract extension through 2027.
  22. Put enough miles on that S6 and you'll have to do turbos anyway. The stock IHI units are far too brittle and the oil screen issue makes them even more sensitive to maintenance.
  23. The turbos are a practical bargain, considering SRM makes a cartridge section and compressor cover that drops in. It's having to spend the same amount of money on downpipes and again in labor to get it all buttoned up that's frustrating. I have a friend at SRM who's writing their tunes now. You should see what our cars are capable of on E85. Then again, it now takes a Stage-2 RS7 to keep up with a M5 Comp and a flash to the Bimmer results in low 10s, nothing else needed.
  24. Aside from the terrible play calling and clock management at the end of the first half, I don't entirely blame Tom for the LSU loss. There were too many other factors at play and he tried to get out the gate aggressively with 6 points instead of 3. Three drives ended with 0 due to execution, not play calls. OU is not a 'very good' team. Texas has enough talent to win this conference with its current roster, even with the walking wounded. They didn't have a low football IQ when they were recruited, so why are they playing like it now? Who's the goliath in our conference? The formula for beating OU hasn't changed over the last three years and Tom has done better on bigger stages.
