  1. Well, we know which group concerns him more.... Also, to add, only one of these groups is going around holding widespread rallies against masks and vaccines and trying to convince others through their elected offices, TV/radio shows, etc. not to get vaxxed.
  2. I thought Shane and Rachel were going to Tahiti.
  3. This his cardiologist? https://www.dallasnews.com/news/courts/2021/08/13/baylor-health-sues-covid-19-vaccine-skeptic-and-demands-dallas-doctor-stop-using-its-name/
  4. No idea why someone wouldn't want to leave Manhattan, which is over 70% vaxxed and just about everyone wears masks indoors, to travel stateside around delta and moronic antivaxxers and antimaskers. At this point, about half the states are beneath anyone who doesn't want to end their vacation in the ICU.
  5. Also imagine that suggesting they signaling virtue is somehow a bad thing.
  6. Why the hell would you think people were emotional because it was a “team win” as opposed to joy and relief at safely being able to be with elderly family members? Or for me being able to safely be around others after my healthy mid30s sister had a “mild” case of covid, but serious neurological problems for 10 months afterward.
  7. I'll just re-up this, as the poor, poor snowflake goads his audience into harassing people, but can't take it when it comes back to him.
  8. Agreed. But we need to also stop foreign misadventures. If the civilian leadership is going to decide to invade countries based on lies (WMD in Iraq), there should be some skin in the game from more than military families who all volunteered for this.
  9. Why worry about truth when you have a rabid base and can pass voter suppression laws?
  10. Agreed. The 1 percent made money during the pandemic. And to the extent the other 99% are screwed by this they can blame Biden, AOC, and socialism. Something else is going on.
  11. Good to know Kilmeade's on board with abolishing the police.
  12. The consequences of their choices should include not being able to fly between states. Interstate travel clearly falls within the federal government's ambit, and they should require proof of vaccination for those over 12 to get on a plane. People are still free to make choices, but those choices have consequences, such as being stuck in Mississippi.
  13. Funny how the same people who yelled last summer about “shutting down the economy” and about how people would die as a result of the isolation and grandma should die for the economy are fine with ignoring the effects of keeping the pandemic raging.
  14. Agreed on Observation Point. It has views at least as good as Angels Landing, but without the danger. Angel's Landing is spectacular, and I did it off season without many crowds and on a beautiful day, and didn't find it particularly tough, but I'm sure it's much worse in crowds or when it's windy. Coalpits Wash trail was easy and less crowded/popular than some of the others, but beautiful with lots of wild flowers. I don't remember ever feeling particularly isolated and there were always a lot of people around. But cell service was spotty at best, although maybe it's improved since I was there 5 years ago.
  15. And Teen Vogue is doing a better job of reporting this than other media
  16. They’re probably hoping only for insurance money. They probably owe money on the property at this point. There’s going to have to be remediation and clean up from the collapse and the fires. Never mind that no one would ever want to buy that lot and build on it again.
  17. Would a condo that close to the beach carry flood insurance? And would that cover structural repairs due to the water damage in the garage?
  18. Wouldn’t the condo association carry insurance to cover major structural damage though? Seems odd to have a special assessment for foundation type stuff.
  19. The Republicans don't want to repeal anything. They only want to campaign on repealing shit. They don't actually want their voters to be pissed off for losing health insurance, etc. They just want to gin up grievances against Obamacare and black people. The Republicans are fine with the filibuster even when they control the Senate-judges and tax cuts only need 50 votes. There's no actual legislation they want to pass.
  20. Agreed. And the selfish assholes who won't get vaccinated are putting the lives of cancer patients at risk
  21. Who can't other than the kiddos who at a near zero risk? A lot of cancer patients, depending on type of cancer, treatment, etc.
