  1. All the College Baseball Showcase coaches were on a zoom earlier today and Pierce joked that Heston Tole "will be our Friday night starter and I don't know why Dave (Van Horn) let him go." Van Horn laughed "I knew that was coming." FWIW, Arkansas staff is deep, but there's no elite starters as of now. Hagan Smith and Jaxon Wiggins have potential to be that guy but can also have pretty bad nights. I would bet Smith starts Friday. In the field, only two regular starters return (Stovall and Slavens) and two part timers (Bohrofen and Diggs). Rest are portal, JUCO or HS guys. No clue how the new guys will hit and will almost assuredly be a much worse fielding team than Hogs had last year.
  2. I'm sure her dumb ass wasn't, but that's what anyone had to do to fly. Have you flown recently? Like 99% don't wear masks. Yet you believed she was in the 1% that still does because she's scared of getting Covid? If it seems a little too good to be true, BS detector should've gone off immediately.
  3. Come on, cantus, get a better bullshit detector.
  4. 100% true. Nor was Bloomberg trying to limit soda sizes.
  5. Shit, just eat a PBJ if you don't have the time to cook. It's not the healthiest, but better, cheaper and faster than McD's.
  6. My data came from the CDC website, last update in October as the information is no longer updated. But use 89% instead of 90%+ and the point remains the same. https://data.cdc.gov/Vaccinations/Archive-COVID-19-Vaccination-and-Case-Trends-by-Ag/gxj9-t96f
  7. I think you’re refusing a vaccine that’s proven to help reduce the spread of the flu. In other words, you’re selfishly killing people.
  8. Do we refer to those who don’t get the flu vaccine as “anti vax?”
  9. Using that same logic, is it hyperbolic to say that the majority of parents of young children are anti-vaccine, or definately not pro vaccine? Most have come to the exact same conclusion as skipper. 90%+ of parents of 6 mos-4 years are "anit-vax", including 85%+ in both California and New York.
  10. 20-40 year olds are like 70-80% vaccinated. Yet, that same age group - as parents - has made the decision to vaccinate their children at the following rates: 6 months to 2 years - 5% 2-4 years - 8% 5-11 - 38% The CDC recommends that all of the above should be vaccinated These are not right wing, anti vax crazies. Well, some might be, but when you are talking about 90%+ in some age groups, it’s safe to say that the public does not trust that the CDC knows what’s best for their children.
  11. I remember that happening and everyone kind of like "WTF?". Did not know until just now that the child, Beckett, died two years ago from an opioid addiction. https://variety.com/2020/music/news/beckett-cypher-melissa-etheridge-son-dead-dies-1234605991/
  12. Probably a no win situation in this day and age, but has "lying to you for your own good" ever backfired worse in medical history? Does anyone really trust the CDC anymore? I'm not trying to get kooky, but does anyone really believe a normal 6 month old needs to get the vaccine as recommended? Even the staunchest on here were/are making their own rules up on boosters, rather than following CDC recommendations. Took it before recommended, got a 3rd full dose instead, waiting longer than recommended, waiting on the newer model to come out.....all ways to say "I know what's better for my body than the CDC does."
  13. They know that today, yet right now they recommend vaccination for children 6 months old and boosters for 5 year olds.
  14. Looks like I'm living to 118
  15. Except all those guys were on the 2018 team as well, and were much less productive.
  16. FWIW, the main poster discussing it (spanytoes) brought the same discussion to this thread (actually on this page above).
