  1. Felt Tennessee letting Arkansas score was a bonehead move. There was 1:22 on the clock and the had 2 timeouts. If Arkansas ran the clock down as much as they could with a backup QB (no guarantee) and made the FG with their backup kicker (no guarantee), Tennessee would still get the ball back with :25-:35 seconds left and has a great kicker.
  2. You did have reasonable takes on it. I felt like this post below was pretty close to what you said. I know there are likely differences in how you all would handle the more competitive ages/sports but common ground on rec, early youth, etc. 52-80 may have even been less restrictive than your post as it appears they don't even care about HS level competition.
  3. JAGs cannot. But the 203 ranked male in the world beat her 6-1, 6-2 and said he took it easy on her.
  4. Posters keep saying there's nuance or differing opinions but then also say anyone who is questioning it is doing so out of hate.
  5. I would agree that 100% of those that favor bathroom laws support a ban on biological males playing female sports. But not vice versa. And I am under the impression that this thread is about biological males playing female sports.
  6. Don't start no shit, it won't be no shit.
  7. You're changing the discussion. The polling he presented showed that a majority support the protections you outline above while a majority also do not support biological males participating in female sports. Basically, there are a shitload of people who are against it for reasons other than hate.
  8. The male athlete today is nothing like the male athlete of 30 years ago. You can go to a 15U AAU game and multiple male children are dunking like you say 23 year old Skinner can.
  9. So maybe its not a hate thing?
  10. Ron Holland, Anthony Black and three bodies would wipe the floor with the Aces. This is stupid.
  11. There are HS basketball team that have multiple players that will be college studs or NBA players in a year or two. South Carolina's women's team went 38-0 this year. They practice with - and often lose to - male college students. How many times does the story have to be told about the USWNT losing to a bunch of 14 year old boys? That wasn't because of skill. It was because of size, strength and speed across the board. https://www.si.com/soccer/2023/11/10/carli-lloyd-confirms-uswnt-once-lost-team-15-year-old-boys There is nuance to this discussion, but to act like there isn't a massive physical advantage for males over females in athletics is dishonest.
  12. Sounds like David Lee Roth in his prime.
  13. His Kennedy Center Honors induction was incredible. It really kicks in at the 13 minute mark when the US Marine Band (Williams was once in the Air Force Band) plays all the hits. Also, he was on Smartless over the summer. It was a little different than most of their interviews as Williams gets down into the nitty gritty, but still quite good.
  14. I'm just going to fast forward to the part about his son being the lead singer of Toto.
  15. A player who bets on his team is just going to play hard. A manager could make numerous decisions that help his team in the short term (that game) but hurt his team and players in the long term. Pitching guys on short rest, playing guys when they need a day off, using up 3 games worth of bullpen to win a game. Basically treating the one game he has money on as if it is a must win game off an NCAA regional.
  16. If anyone watched the Pete Rose doc on HBO, after episode 1, you're like "loved the player, but not a great guy." After episodes 2, 3 and 4, you're like "this guy was a huge a piece of shit and is still a huge piece of shit." And I 100% believe he bet against the Reds. And even if he didn't, betting on them to win is bad enough. As a player, betting on your team to win would eventually be forgivable. As a manager, absolutely unforgiveable. Or in the ladies room with the alternates.
  17. Gameday to Cal for Cal vs. Miami. They're calling is Woke vs. Coke
  18. For the past decade or so, most of these schools have been popular landing spots for Texas kids. Now Northern kids are flocking to the South. Sorry, Harvard. Everyone Wants to Go to College in the South Now. The likes of Georgia Tech, Clemson and Ole Miss are drawing students from the North who want to have fun and save on tuition. The shift is boosting the economies of cities across the region. https://www.wsj.com/us-news/education/sorry-harvard-everyone-wants-to-go-to-college-in-the-south-now-235d7934?st=QYoZo2&reflink=article_copyURL_share
