I met FCB one time a few years ago when I was volunteering at the Dell Match Play tournament at Austin Country Club. I was working the media center (because it had AC and that's where the good food was). Anyway, talked to him for about 15 minutes. He liked me because I said he read his stuff when he was starting out at the Dallas Morning News with Blackie Sherrod. Couldn't have been a nicer dude, seemed really down to earth (ducks). He mentioned crazy people on the internet and asked where I posted (probably for self preservation 😆).
I've got a couple of college buddies who currently have sorority daughters at UT and they've relayed the stories of Arch doing "quite well" with the ladies. I believe the word "slaying" was used. That's why I feel confident he'll be back in '26.
To be honest, and this is not sour grapes, but I wasn't super interested in the kid. He's maxed out and has the douchey blowu vibe about him. We can do better.
I don't know. That comeback win in Columbus in '05 was pretty damn sweet. We walked out of the Shoe observing multiple male tOSU undergrads openly weeping, it was hilarious. Snatched their hearts out like Mola Ram.
My college buddy was so high one time he was playing that arcade golf game Golden Tee with the roller ball and for about 15 minutes he thought he was legit playing at Augusta.
Total lack of talented players. It was the same when Bryce Foster was there. Jimbo literally asked the Oline room who had snapped a ball before and Bryce answered he had in middle school. That's how he became the starting center there. True story.
Dave South. I miss that fucker. Nobody could make long silences more hilarious when the ags had blown it yet again. It was if his dog died on a weekly basis.
