  1. I think the main reason, and the biggest benefit, is simply getting the Big 12 football brand on the NFL network in the late winter/early spring. Yes, it's a great opportunity for the players and others, but it's an even bigger opportunity to just keep the brand out there in the offseason as well.
  2. Gotta love Dodd...he knows that is going to trigger the Pac-12 Twitter Water-Carriers like Trump triggers MSNBC [/not CR].
  3. I had gotten clean, y'all. I really had. I did the 12-step program to get rid of my addiction to aggie tears. But then I went and visited the TexAgs Basketball forum this morning. Guys, that shit was pure, man. I haven't seen Aggy tears that pure in a long time. It was the good stuff, man. The really good stuff. I fell off the wagon. I snorted it up like Pacino at the end of the Scarface. They blame this loss on the NCAA seeding them #7. It's all the NCAA's fault. It's a conspiracy against them. - I'm telling you, this stuff was better than what Denzel was peddling in American Gangster.
  4. I think it’s just you, because I haven’t seen anyone say anything even insinuating such a thought. or maybe I’m reading the wrong media and tweets. Pretty certain 99% of the folks think the SEC and BIG are going to be just fine forever and it’s the other three that have unknown futures.
  5. In other words, if you want to get paid more, root for all of the conference in the NCAA tourney.
  6. The PAC 12 apologists/water-carriers love to point out that he rejects the notion that schools would leave for the Big 12. They conveniently ignore the important words "prior to being presented a media rights proposal".
  7. I'm a Tech grad...can you explain this to me like I'm 5 please?
  8. I think he's become a caricature of his avatar.
  9. Depends on what this contract ends up being. They may not be able to afford to stick together for another 5-6 years if they run the risk of losing exposure.
  10. Well, since this would be a Big 12 Pro Day in Frisco, they would not. Or do you just mean for the one year next year?
  11. And, as we've all said for awhile now, it's not just the money, though. If that deal has less over-the-air/linear and more streaming than what the Big 12 will have, then you would have to think they bolt even if the money is equal just to ensure their programs have needed exposure.
  12. Dear President Robbins: Ask that same question to your football and basketball coaches.
  13. Please, Lord, no. I really would like to root for him at the next level. From your mouth to God's ears.
  14. Same. I rooted for them in both Rose Bowls more because I was rooting against who they were playing.
  15. Really, really happy with what Yormark is doing. I'm not a fan of his idea to bring in basketball-only members, but I'm a fan of everything else this guy has come up with:
  16. Some verbal gymnastics going on there to be certain.
  17. Did Jerry go and hire a real GM and forget to tell us? Between this and the trade with Indy, I'm seeing like real GM moves here. Can't be Jerry doing it.
  18. Technically, Utah State. But as far as where they are on the delusional scale, yeah, UU is most definitely the Mormon Aggy.
  19. Your players, after all they’ve been through this year, deserve this. Very happy for them.
  20. Unfortunately, only one of those people know the real ins and outs of college basketball, and even then only as a player. Don't get me wrong, he's dyed in the wool red and black, and that is a great thing. I also like having Joey Mc on the search committee because he knows the kind of coach that would fit Tech. I hope Womble's only role on the committee is to consult on how much he's willing to donate to the salary. To me, that is the only role for a BMD.
  21. I would like to think my alma mater would be wise enough not to hire a 71 year old coach for a program that wants sustained success. But, they aren't.
