  1. I didn’t realize Santa Claus had fallen off Lovie Smith’s roof.
  2. Wow...that didn't age...at all.
  3. I think the janitor got carried away with the polishing and buffing last night. Or the humid, tropical air combined with the AC.
  4. I'm just here to make fun of A&M. Is this where the pile on will be?
  5. I wish I didn’t care so damn much about Texas tech football. I would probably have a longer life expectancy if I didn’t. God we suck so bad and I take it so very personally. This is me, on the field, losing this game. That’s the level of unhealthy obsession I have about this game. I am pathetic.
  6. I don’t know if it’s Morton being a RS-FR quarterback or if it’s the shitty play of the OL or both. But the Tech offense tonight has gone full retard.
  7. Memphis meltdown reminds me of Tech losing to UT in 2020. We had a 15 point lead with three minutes left and found a way to grab defeat out of the jaws of victory. Memphis had a 13 pt lead with 1:17 left and blew it. Amazing.
  8. Its old school. Like 80’s-90’s old school. Don’t be hater. A hat like that was the bomb back in the day.
  9. Black isn’t even one of their secondary or tertiary colors.
  10. Pathetic. UH should never have been invited to the Big12.
  11. You know that's not a Tech guy, right? That's some Twitter guy named Dana Beers who has a schtick going right now where he is being "recruited" to be a lifelong fan of a college team, and he's taking his official visits to schools this fall. Seems like a fat jackass who has somehow developed a following on Twitter. I'm a little amazed at how many schools and fanbases are engaging in the recruitment. Not sure what being chosen brings you, except some drunk fat Twitter guy who I guess has never actually gone to college. Google video of him at A&M.
  12. This is why we can’t have nice things.
  13. No need to be snarky. Never said it was easy to understand. But if we need to interpret scripture, we need to interpret it with scripture. That's why there is Bible Concordances...to help us with this chore. Also why any pastor should be willing to tell his congregation to please check his work at all times with what is in the Word, and to call him out should he preach something contrary to the Word.
  14. Actually, St. Paul is very clear on this. It's only controversial to those who believe evolving Church doctrine supersedes scripture.
  15. It's not idealist. The problem is thinking that we humans can interpret scripture, when in fact it is scripture that interprets scripture. Any interpretation of scripture should and must be tested against other passages in the Bible. One may think this is simplistic and naive approach, but in fact it is exactly what the Bible instructs us to do. God did not leave us a mystery to solve...his Word interprets his Word for us.
  16. Yes...LCMS. Probably my use of the terms Law and Gospel capitalized gave it away, huh? The thing is...if we follow Scripture, it shouldn't mean different things.
  17. One of the many reasons I love my church and denomination. My pastor, and all pastors within this denomination, are expected to only preach Law and Gospel...the truth that Jesus, as the perfect lamb, saves us through his substitutionary atonement on the cross. When you are preaching Law and Gospel, you don't have any time or space for secular stuff like politics. But on the flipside, when you do preach 100% from Scripture, inevitably some will think you are doing some political advocating by simply pointing out Law. I could see those who live, eat, and drink politics sitting in one of our services, hearing a sermon about Law and Gospel, and coming away thinking there were political undertones when in fact all the pastor did was preach the Law and share the Gospel.
  18. Agreed. GT would be crazy not to offer it to him, and he would be crazy to turn it down.
