  1. Guessing it's Texas Agricultural & Mechanical COLLEGE.
  2. They rushed the field because it was an exciting game in double overtime with a finish that was crazy. 4th and 20 conversion followed by a winning TD. It wasn't because it was UH or even because UH was ranked. It was simply because the way that game went the adrenaline was off the charts.
  3. You referring to that time they built an erector set for the UT visiting fans to sit in, and ultimately perish in, because there was no way on God's green Earth that it was structurally sound enough to not killz you all?
  4. Here's what I don't get. This isn't just some Mass-Com major's senior project. You have actual professional staff coming up with this idea, establishing and spendding a budget for it, executing it, and making a conscious decision to actually play this on the jumbotron. This went through multiple approval layers to get to this point. My question is...how?

  6. I think he’s farting. The square dancing hillbillies in overalls is just too much. How is this even remotely appealing to urban and suburban kids from Houston, DFW, Austin, and San Antonio areas? Just bizarre.
  7. Wait wait wait wait. Conflict at an event that is represented by folks from Detroit and Philadelphia?? Get the fuck outta here.

  9. As long as Jerry and Son are in charge, nothing will change. Jerry rather fail in charge than succeed with someone else calling the shots.
  10. We played like dog shit and yet found a way to win. Under Matt Wells we would play well for 3/4 of the Ganesh and then find a way to lose. I like this better.
  11. Don’t care. We won. UH was overrated and we played like shit. But I won’t fault the students for rushing the field after a win in 2OT. This shit is supposed to be fun. Have fun. Better than losing.
  12. As a Tech fan, I couldn't care less if we play Texas again as regular season non-conf opponents, in any sport. I'm not opposed to it, either. I guess I'm agnostic. Would rather play UT in the post-season anyway.
  13. Donovan Smith will start. He was 14/16 for 221 yards and 4 TD’s with no INT Saturday. He did that in less than 2 quarters. He played about 13 minutes of the second and about 7.5 minutes of the third.

  15. So did the expanded 12 team playoff just save the Pac 10? Does this put the kabash on the Big 12 poaching any of the 4-corner schools? Or does the regular season TV money still require the current PAC teams to rethink their lives?
  16. That's the damn argument university presidents and conference commissioners gave for decades as to why they wouldn't go to a playoff. I was simply trying to "address" their long-running "concern" that they spouted for years. Not saying that was my argument (because look at basketball, baseball, etc.) So when they went from 4 to 12, it didn't make sense based on what they've told us in the past. One thing I didn't throw in that I should have included is that the additional round will make it cost-prohibitive for fans, namely the current students and recent grads, to go to all the games should their team advance. Hopefully they will not try and use the bowls for this until the final 4 so that it would be somewhat reasonable for people to attend the early rounds.
  17. Eight made the most sense, worked out to include highest ranked conference champions, and doesn't water down regular season or make the playoffs too long for the student athletes. So of course, the presidents chose 12. All they care about is money.
  18. Hollee sheet. From MVP to Doghouse in one play.
  19. Um, George, you're not invited. That store closed its doors to you last year.
  20. I admit I don't watch F1. I'm just more curious is those leagues have the same amount of standardization that NASCAR employs. I would just like to see what the racing would be like if teams had more freedom on car set-up.
  21. I think NASCAR should scrap all of the rules that put restrictions on car set-up, engines, etc. If they want to make their product less boring, and let's be honest, it's become pretty boring, they need to let the teams make any and all modifications they want. Stipulate only the safety requirements, the manufacturer's body design and dimensions, and that the engine parts have to be from the manufacturer, and that's it. Then let's see what these teams could really do if they had the shackles removed, and I guarantee you the product they would put out there would be infinitely more entertaining. Does F1 and Indy have such strict standardizations? I honestly don't know...but it sure seems like there is more variation in performances in those leagues.
  22. Cut him some slack...he appears to only be about 14-15 years old.
