  1. I don't think TV would be cool with that. They aren't paying us without the guarantee the GOR provides them.
  2. Why are you surprised, John? Your sources have proven to be the dumbest people in all of sports.
  3. "they are concerned that with a campus in LA they will lose enrolment." Um, how does being in a conference with no presence in LA after this year help them from losing enrollment? Not sure how being relegated to the new MWC helps their LA enrollment, but o.k.
  4. For anyone still thinking the PacX might somehow survive....if below is true, it's dead Jim.
  5. I've been waiting for this...I don't think it has already been posted, but even it has, I'm not sorry. This is one of the better ones I've seen.
  6. ?? Clemson isn’t a religious school. It’s not even private. It’s a public institution.
  7. I sincerely hope Utah gets left out in the cold. I have no desire for then to be in the Big12. Their fans have been completely insufferable.
  8. They are Zack Mayo. They have no where else to go! Of course they will remain loyal to the Pac until they have to merge with the MWC.
  9. I would argue that Kliavkoff is actually worse. I think Scott was a realist and actually had somewhat of a vision. I think the presidents and the networks undercut him, and once the writing was on the wall and he realized he couldn't accomplish a damn thing, he said, "Fuck it" and decided to milk them for whatever they were willing to give him. Kliavkoff, on the other hand, is both dumb and ineffective. I'm sure the former is the reason for the latter.
  10. They don't want a failed Pac 10? But isn't that what is exactly playing out now? Explain it me like I'm five....I am a Tech grad after all.
  11. I think Colorado, Nebraska, and even Missouri to some extent are all examples of what happens to your programs when you no longer are playing multiple Texas teams every year, and having at least one game in Texas. It's not just physically not having a game in the state, but you are not on the nightly local newscasts in Texas anymore because you aren't playing the Texas college teams. Nebraska and Colorado got absolutely decimated on the talent front once they left the Big 12. Missouri has faired a little better, but not like before when they had a roster full of Texans.
  12. I don't think Utah brings much to the table. They don't have a national following, and the Big 12 already has BYU. Utah looks good right now because they've recently dominated the Pac in football. But other than that, what do they bring? Arizona hasn't been good in football for an eternity, but they are the flagship university of a state that the Big 12 is not in currently. And they are a basketball power. I say if it can be done, and granted it's a huge ass if, the Big 12 should get Oregon, Udub, and Arizona and call it done. Then at the end of the day they will have brought in 4 flagship universities in states they weren't in before. Two are current football powers, one has shown a remarkable commitment to its football program over the past year, and one who brings a basketball pedigree unrivaled by the rest in the Pac 12 not named UCLA.
  13. Because it's not chili. It's slop.
  14. I believe it is 4pm Central, 3pm Mountain.
  15. An alliance! It worked so well the last time! I think the only way the ACC could do anything at this point would be to dissolve the conference outright, and then merge with the Pac 10 (or they both dissolve and merge to form a new conference). Honestly, that would be the only way either one could try to outflank the Big 12 for the undisputed #3 spot.
