  1. Same. I haven't read the other series yet but I love the Joe Pickett series. I discovered it and read them all this year.
  2. Incline Public House. The food is decent and the view is great.
  3. In the app, click on team info in the roster tab.
  4. You joke but as far as domestic bullshit goes, comfort+ is a bargain at twice the price.
  5. Well that blows. I’m from your part of the world and went out there more than a few times in the 90s. Big fan at that point in life. I don’t live anywhere close at this point but found myself in thorndale and Franklin over the 4th weekend. I was trying to figure out how to make a final run out there and ended up at Louie mueller instead. Not disappointed in the bbq obviously but I miss places like cyclone.
  6. All whataburgers west of a north/south line centered on clyde have it year round.
  7. Engineering consultant in the insurance racket. I'll be in plants still, but not IN plants.
  8. Shit. I should clarify. I chose to bounce. It’s an upgrade. I’ll miss the animals but not the zoo.
  9. And just like that it's over. I might always be plant trash but I won't be in the plant or the industry no mo.
  10. Is this not a joke thread? I thought it was a joke thread.
  11. There is part of this that is just straight nostalgia for me. I learned to drive on paved roads on FM 485 from zabcikville to hearne. Most scenic? Nah, but plenty of old country history and the scenery used to not be too bad. I spent a lot of time burning up 281 from mineral wells to Hamilton. I’ve driven 36 end to end many times. Some highways just feel like Texas is supposed to.
  12. FM 170 from lajitas to presidio is probably the holy grail in my mind, but it's far from unknown at this point. Along the same vein, the entirety of 118 is pretty great.
  13. Tangentially related, I had a high school history teacher that liberated a singer sewing .45 from somewhere back in the day. I don’t think he knows he’s rich now, or cares.
  14. Are your hands that soft dainty boy?
  15. That would truly be the trip of a lifetime
  16. paper straws are absolute horse shit
  17. For those times when you absolutely have to shit your pants
  18. This movie is flawed, but I will always love it.
  19. In a past life, I spent a summer leading groups through this. https://www.longhorncouncil.org/camps-properties/texas-high-adventure-base/brazos-river-canoe-trip/ It was a great summer. I hadn't done the whole 47 mile stretch before, so I went out there with my helper and knocked out the whole river in 1 day prior to taking scouts down. We finished the last few miles well after dark and it was an interesting experience.
  20. good thing this isnt a wins league
  21. I really like watching Dunning pitch. I still don't know how he doesn't get knocked all over the yard, but I guess that's part of the fun.
  22. You have to be shitting me. Internet says you're not of course. Top 5 worst speed traps in the state plus LV. What world.
