Hey guys, I’ve been thinking that we need to raise the spirit of Longhorn fans for the big game next November against the Aggies. How about something like a giant bonfire to symbolize our burning desire to beat the Aggies?
We could have it erected by students on the rec fields north of campus. It would be neat to go for the record of the largest bonfire ever created. Students could skip class to work on it, and if some wanted to drink while operating cranes, etc, that would just make it more fun.
I don’t think the engineering students, construction professionals or professors would need to supervise the construction. Leaders appointed by the students w no construction experience should suffice. This should be a school-sanctioned event but safety protocols that normally govern all activities should be ignored in the interest this new tradition. However, the school should be absolved of liability if anything goes wrong,
Who’s with me?
