As noted by others, slightly different situation, as Patterson and TCU were at odds. While the school probably isn't happy w Gundy, he did restructure his contract to provide more money for investment. I think he gets the grace of a full season. Perhaps @'stache can elaborate on the current climate.
There's a big difference from posting criticism, which I have no problem with, and just repeatedly mindlessly calling our players pussies, etc.
That is what I am referring to.
Some of the Longhorn players do, in fact, read Surly Horns, which makes the continual, most demeaning insults posted by that small group of so-called Longhorn 'fans' here even more inexplicable.
It makes no sense to root for a team when your chief contribution is to hurt it, but people often don't act in the their own best interests.
Whats so weird about that? Pro basketball players have safer, longer and more lucrative careers than pro football players:
Average Salary
NBA Approximately $11.9 million
NFL Between $2.8 million and $3.2 million
I really like that trick play Texas used twice where they lined up with only two players in the backfield. The center snapped the ball to the player in the pistol formation, only he had his knee on the ground. Then, the other player, instead of taking a handoff or drifting out for a pass, stayed behind him and suddenly kicked the ball. The defense was confused and wasn't able to stop the surprise kick, which accounted for 3 points. I'd like to see it used more often.
Does someone else post for you in Cloak Room? I always like your posts there.
Quinn didn’t suck. Fans who harassed Chris Simms, insult our players who read Surly Horns and make unsubstantiated rumors about our current QB (not saying you do that but others are already doing it) are the ones who suck.
