  1. It’s weird that last night’s game went exactly like @closetojumping’s previous thread where he predicted that we would stomp a mudhole in Kansas States’s ass! So strange and completely unforeseeable, too! I can’t wait to read the upcoming thread about how we are going to stomp a mudhole in ASU’s ass!
  2. I don’t know much about the Big 12. Don’t they call it the Big Dumpster Fire? You can’t compare it to elite SEC teams like Texas A&M University. That school plays tough, SEC-styled football which in the best conference. And when an SEC teams inevitably wins the national championship, they feel pride to be in the same conference. That’s pretty badass.
  3. Wrong. ESPN has stated they expect the USC vs Aggy GoSupreme Lite Incontinence Adult Diapers Bowl will crush the playoffs in ratings.
  4. Really could have gone either way. All we had to do was hold them, score, get a turnover, score, get a turnover, score, get a turnover, score, and we’re right back in this game!
  5. Funny story. When the third quarter ended, the Clemson guy (whom I quite liked) turned to his friend and said, “they catch match our stadium”, referencing something that happens at their games. Then I pointed to the drones ( which he had missed) the music really kicked in and he was amazed.
  6. I think this is actually the golden era of college football. Interest never been higher than during this playoff season. Even with the blowouts, people are excited that more teams are being considered than the usual suspects.
  7. For sure. Sucks.
  8. Quinn also audibled and called the running plays on both of our rushing touchdowns. That must really piss you off.
  9. Yeah we got rolled. Still had an amazing season and beat North Shore. Congrats to North Crowley. They deserved it.
  10. Someone call the police cause Westlake is being robbed!!!
  11. Despite the fact that @closetojumping has been trying to convince us that Cade Klubnik isn't a great QB, the guy can ball. He did everything he could to keep them in the game. Major props to my Westlake boy.
  12. My boy had a great game. Plus he is making money off the following partnerships. Hope this helps! Rhoback: Ewers is the official apparel sponsor for Rhoback, and he receives a percentage of every item sold. Nicholas Air: Ewers has an NIL deal with the private jet company, which includes access to their fleet and working on marketing initiatives. Athletic Brewing: Ewers has an NIL deal with the non-alcoholic beer company. EA Sports College Football 25: Ewers is on the cover of the video game, which is valued at over $200,000. Dr Pepper and Hulu: Ewers has national TV spots for both brands. C4 Energy: Ewers has an endorsement deal with C4 Energy. Gold's Gym: Ewers has an endorsement deal with Gold's Gym. Vapor Apparel: Ewers has a custom merchandise line produced by Vapor Apparel.
  13. Sat with a bunch of Clemson types around us. They were actually pretty fun. Great win. Our family had a lot of fun.
  14. I can't stop laughing about this post.
  15. Shoot. I wanted to try it!!! Maybe this weekend.
  16. Thnx! I have a rule about talking to athletes: You want to have a good conversation with them, ask them about their sport. You want to have a great conversation with them, ask them about their life. I thought the same. I kinda want one.
  17. Greetings, my young friends. As promised, here an update on my night spent w/ some of our favorite Texas Longhorns! I was invited to cover a charity event. Raising Canes donated 100 bikes to the Austin Boys and Girls Club. Isaiah Bond partnered with Raising Canes and brought his boys: Tre Wisner, Gunnar Helm and Jahdae Barron! We had a grand time with some wonderful young people in need, press, carolers, volunteers, dinner, a youth football team and much more. The guys were so amazing and fun to talk to. They were so honored to interact w the kids. Isaiah spoke about his childhood, and how he could relate to children not having much of anything. As if that wasn't fun enough, I got each of them to sign my two Sacred Surly Horns Quinn Ewers footballs, so now we are a tribute to this wonderful 2024 team! As some of you know, I am gifting one of these sacred objects to Surly Horns and @immamac . How it is used will be determined later but part of me wants him to keep it for all he has done to create this wonderful community. Here are some pics. And yes, I am ugly and out of shape. I'm 65. Hook 'Em!!!
  18. Some writers claim one of the Steeler’s teams from the 70s was the greatest defense ever, but amazingly, that team didn’t win the Super Bowl. I believe the Raven’s 2000 team was the greatest ever. They allowed 10 points a game and their Super Bowl would have been a shutout but the Giants had a special teams TD.
  19. Quite possibly! I deserved all the abuse yesterday for butchering a Longhorn player's name, but in my defense, I was about to devour three Birria tacos and a draft pint of peacemaker at Austin Beeerworks.
  20. I will have a pretty nice Surly Horn/Longhorn update for all in around two hours.
  21. Don't feel bad. You can't match their level of insight thanks to proprietary information and metrics.
  22. Incorrect. That was another secret strategy that was leaked to the press by some t-sip loving reporter: “Bjork said they researched every team to win an SEC Championship and a national championship in CFP era. Key factors: defensive minded head coach, championship level culture, recruit and develop elite NFL-type talent, play great offense and score a lot of points with a high level QB.”
