  1. Hey guys. I know I post a lot of stupid stuff here, but this post is serious. After potentially getting myself in legal trouble for copying this secret 12 Keys for A&M to win NC: the Blueprint document from TexAgs, I am strongly considering sharing it with the Texas Athletic Department. I want to ask any lawyers out there what kind of exposure do I risk by sharing it? I think Chris Del Conte would really like to see it to help better strategize about this emerging threat to our program, especially #6: 'Win SEC Matchups: Beat Alabama, LSU, and other top programs in key games.' NOTE: I understand that there are only 11 keys here, but since the document mentions 12, I think they may have added another layer of security for that one. Any idea what it might be? 12 Keys for A&M to win NC: the Blueprint Elite Recruiting: Sign Top-5 classes annually, focusing on physically dominant players and building depth across all positions. Quarterback Play: Land and develop a star QB. Dominate the Trenches: Build elite offensive and defensive lines with size, strength, and athleticism, having depth to sustain performance throughout the season. NIL Strategy: Use NIL effectively to recruit and retain top talent. Player Development: Emphasis on hiring elite position coaches who specialize in developing players at every position. Win SEC Matchups: Beat Alabama, LSU, and other top programs in key games. Lockdown Defense: Build a defense that thrives in big games, leveraging size, strength, and depth to dominate opponents. Minimize Mistakes: create a football culture which reduces turnovers and penalties. Injury Prevention: Keep players healthy throughout the season by managing the workload of a deep roster Fan Support: Leverage the passion of the 12th Man. Close Strong in November: Peak at the right time for the playoff push with a deep, resilient team.
  2. Clemson YouTubers break down how Clemson wins this game; Key takeaways: Texas is terrible at running the football. They will easily shut down our run. (with one of the P5's worst run defenses, lol) Don't be fooled by Texas motion - stay disciplined (as opposed to teams that prefer to play a completely disorganized, make-it-up on the fly strategy) TJ Parker will easily have around 6 or 7 sacks, whomever he is Texas has no film on Clemson's offensive replacement players so they should have big games (I have to admit that is an original take) Texas hasn't faced a QB who can run like Cade Klubnik and he will have a big game on designed runs Texas hasn't played a team as physical as Clemson so the refs need to LET THEM PLAY Clemson has all the advantages and will win a close one
  3. As if the Official Surly Horns Quinn Ewers-signed football wasn't fabulous enough, stay tuned for some exciting updates.
  4. I'll run the final article through ChatGPT.
  5. So I got invited to interview Isiah Bonds tomorrow. Should I do it? It's for a good cause.

  7. More mindless data to plug into the Surly mainframe computer to see if it impacts the score predictor: Someone who had a son on Cade's 7-on-7 middle school team told me that this will actually be the fourth time the QBs have played each other. Their 7-on-7 teams played twice with each QB winning one game in two successive years. I saw David Ash at one of Cade's practices. I think he may have been their coach. They also technically competed in their Elite 11 camp, though not in game conditions.
  8. Yes, Dodge is the greatest coach we've ever had. We were frustrated that he retired, then he un-retired, and went to another program but we're very happy w/ our current coach. It's just hard to match the quarterback whisperer. We were really floundering before he came, so I am grateful we had him as long as we did.
  9. Let us speak no more of this man. He has the mark of Judas upon him.
  10. For being a 2*, a whole lot of them sure were asking they needed to offer him a ton of money to flip to Aggy just this month, haha.
  11. Better summation than mine and funnier. Love the “backup who was going to win the Heisman when he became starter agin.” Haha.
  12. Zack Calzada was a backup and they loved him 'til he came in and started. Then they hated him, until he became a backup again. Haynes King was a backup that they loved 'til he came in and started. Or was he the backup after he was the starter? Now, they love him as the starter...for Georgia Tech, but some Aggies think he should be the backup there. Connor Wiegman was the backup who became a starter. Or maybe he started out as the starter, THEN became the backup that people hated. Then, he became the starter, but they wanted him to be the backup, which he became. Now he's the backup for Auburn, or maybe the starter when they play A&M. Which takes us to backup Marcel Reed. He was the backup who replaced the backup, Connor Wiegman. Reed became the starter after coming in against Florida, but they soon soured on him and wanted him replaced by Wiegman, who was still the starter, but was on the bench. Now Reed is the backup while they look for a new starter, but he plays the whole game.
  13. According to ESPN, Deion just landed the top defensive player in the portal, Bama DT, Jehiem Oatis. Former Alabama defensive tackle Jehiem Oatis, the No. 1 defensive player in ESPN's transfer rankings, has committed to Colorado, he told ESPN on Monday. The 6-foot-5, 320-pound junior was one of the most coveted players in the transfer portal and the No. 5 overall player in ESPN's transfer rankings. He has two more seasons of eligibility. Oatis, the No. 38 overall recruit in the 2022 ESPN 300, started 13 games over his first two seasons at Alabama and appeared in four games in 2024. Oatis is the latest big-name transfer to join coach Deion Sanders at Colorado. The Buffaloes' portal-heavy approach to rebuilding their roster paid off in 2024 with a 9-3 record and a No. 23 finish in the final College Football Playoff rankings.on State into a nationally relevant team. "Just seeing Coach Prime go first to Jackson State, where I'm from, and just to see him coach at Jackson State and see what he did for them," Oatis told ESPN. "Then coming over to Colorado and make this team great again. It was a really great thing to do."
  14. That's the most Surly Horns thing I've ever seen.
  15. Looks like the Southlake Carroll Dragons logo was created in 1975 for a small business that made bong pipes.
  16. Excuse me? Current best quarterbacks in football (in no particular order): Patrick Mahomes - Mahomes is very good. He's a great improviser. Cade Klubnik - Cade is awesome. He's a dual threat.
  17. Oh, no! This is giving me PTSD from your last year's magnum opus, Why Texas Stamps a Mudhole in Kansas State's Ass. Remember how that worked out?🫣 We're doomed now.
  18. What about Atascocita? They feel like they are improving all the time and it took a miracle finish for North Shore to beat them in the regular season.
  19. Yeah, our current record vs North Shore is 2-3, and they beat us good the last two years, so I was assuming, like most people, that they would do the same this year. Now, I see a lot of their fans complaining about the coaching, saying the last coach was much better, etc. No idea what to make of that, as they have been virtually perfect the last three years, only losing to us and Duncanville. (twice) North Crowley looks very impressive in highlights, for sure.
  20. North Shore sure looked like they didn't assess Westlake's abilities as a team. They literally ran the same three plays over and over again even when they were hopelessly behind, but I suppose that is more on the coaches.
  21. Haha. Well said.
  22. Ehhh, when did I say "...black teams/players lack the ability or intelligence to take Westlake seriously or assess their skill." That would be a very racist comment. I think it is natural for HS males of EVERY race to think they can beat any teams because they are faster, more talented, etc. We get those comments all the time. They were literally piled on top of each other today on social media. We also get them on every YouTube video.
  23. Fair points, but if you read YouTube and FB comments before the NS game, so many of them were, "Westlake can't hang with NS, etc." This week on YouTube and FB, the comments are "Westlake can't match Crowley's speed." Happens every year.
  24. I'm excited for us to lose, cause if so, I think we have a chance to pass Aggy for BEST LOSS in the ESPY's.
