  1. Johntay's latest post is pretty tame. He's probably finding out how temporal celebrity fame is. Yesterday, you were feeling like a boss at a world-class university enjoying incredible benefits and facilities. It seems everyone wants to be a part of your circle and basking in your stardom, especially since you were paying for everything. Today, the prospective universities on the list you made are not responding to your outreach. Your 'friends' are somehow no longer available, and don't have money to help you out. Choose wisely.
  2. Feeling prideful that we played Aggy closer than any other team this year!
  3. What? Cowboys should have won that game. Couple different plays and Cowboys win it by double digits. And Aggy was only three plays away from playing in the national championship tonight.
  4. Reminds me of the agent for Maurice Clarett, who worked so hard to get him a tryout for the Denver Broncos. It was over before it began. "Clarett turned out to be unimpressive in the Denver Broncos' preseason training camp. As Clarett had not played a game in two years or practiced in over a year, he entered training camp weighing 248 pounds, more than 20 pounds overweight. He was also slow to recover from an injury. Despite his unimpressive training camp, Clarett signed a four-year contract on July 28, 2005, with the Broncos in which he gave up $413,000 of guaranteed money in order to secure an incentive-laden deal. Clarett signed this deal against the advice of his former agents, Steve Feldman and Josh Luchs. Clarett's motivation was to replace the proposed deal with a package that would pay him first-round money if he rushed for 1,000 yards in multiple seasons. However, after further disappointments and incidents with his coaches and never playing a preseason game, Clarett was released on waivers on August 28, 2005, only a month after signing a contract and before playing a down in the NFL. As is standard procedure in the NFL, for a 24-hour period after his release, other teams could have claimed him and taken on his contract. After that 24-hour period, Clarett was freed from his contract and able to negotiate with any team, but no team expressed interest.[20]" Following the Broncos disaster, Clarett was arrested and went to prison for armed robbery. Since then, he has totally turned his life around and is even a board member for the Youngstown Chamber of Commerce.
  5. Yeah season one was really great. So were some of the following seasons. The same producers also did the amazing Cheer show, which was also terrific and in my mind, even more compelling.
  6. I don't see how either of those programs would touch him at this point, unless it would be some form of preferred walk-on status. And as we have seen many times, being back home is often a recipe for disaster, as a player falls back in with his old crew, who often don't have your best interests in mind when they talk you into doing something stupid.
  7. Latest random Insta stories from _jaythegreat_ Looks like Jay rolls in a Dodge Challenger SRT. Rocking some threads. He needs to chill w/ the promotion stuff right 'til he gets his life in order, or he's wasting the outreach. These posts aren't egregious at all, but maybe he should chill w the postings until he gets things in order, if he can.
  8. In case you haven't been following the saga of the Eagles fan who called the Packers fan the c-word, he has been banned from Eagles games and also lost his job (which apparently was some sort of diversity consulting firm, ironically) While many people have criticized the husband of the woman for not intervening, his response was actually brilliant. His video was assassin-level effective, as the Eagles fan's life has been completely destroyed. Have fun at your next interview explaining yourself, haha! Amazingly, the idiot Eagles fan released a statement which made it worse for himself, if that is even possible. While attending an NFL game last Sunday to support my beloved Philadelphia Eagles, an incident occurred that I deeply regret. What began as banter with two Packers fans sitting near me escalated to something more serious, and I said things that were unacceptable. In the heat of the moment, I chose unforgiving words to address one of the fans, Ms. Ally Keller. I want to sincerely apologize to Ms. Keller for those words, and to my wife, family, and friends, my former employer and colleagues, Packer fans, Eagle fans, the Philadelphia Eagles, the City of Philadelphia, and all who were offended. That said, there are two sides to every story. The video clip circulating online does not reflect the full context of what transpired, and my actions were not without provocation. I will live with this experience, and I am certainly paying a personal price. For those who don’t know me, this incident does not reflect my values or the respect I have for others and is not indicative of the person I am. "Two sides to every story?" Did the woman say mean things to you? Goodness. And then he finished it off with the dreaded "This is not indicative of the person I am." Huh? Yeah, you never act like yourself at Eagles games with all your boys. Got it. Anyways, pretty funny and glad to see karma in action.
  9. @'stache , you still standing by your claim that the Cowboys had no choice but to pay Dak's salary?
  10. Oh, good. He’s really a good person at heart, and deserved to get out of prison. Let’s hope the Missouri governor also commutes the little girl’s permanent brain trauma.
  11. Today, something like 160 Canadian divisions are poised at the US border. For weeks, constant violations of this frontier have taken place, affecting us from Maine down to Florida. Canadian airmen consider it sport nonchalantly to overlook these frontiers, presumably to prove to us that they already feel themselves masters of of our homeland. Last night, Canadian patrols again penetrated into American territory and could only be driven back after prolonged firing. This has brought us to the hour when it is necessary for us to take steps against this plot devised by the Jewish warmongers and equally the Jewish rulers of the Bolshevist center in Moscow. American people! At this moment a march is taking place that, as regards extent, compares with the greatest the world hitherto has seen. American divisions commanded by the conqueror of Panama, in cooperation with the heroes who liberated Greenland are protecting American soil. We are meeting bombs with bombs!
  12. I hope Britt Reid and the prisoners in cell block 17 got to celebrate in the TV room with Sprite and hotdogs, and he was able to borrow his cellmates illegal cellphone to text his dad congrats!
  13. Haha, I’m late to the party, as usual. Well done.
  14. TexAgs currently in a self-feeding frenzy right now. One week ago, Micah Hudson was the cream of the best portal class in the nation. Now: vander54 In reply to beerad12man Well that's just insider speak. We all know the coaches didn't want him
  15. Just sayin that I think that coat kinda rocks. And LOL him throwing down at a club when he first gets to Washington. Must have been a helluva 48 hours! One time in NYC, we invited a bunch of young people to attend a party to capture some inspiration for a Heineken TV campaign. They partied, drank all the beer, and gave us pretty much nothing noteworthy. The moment the beer ran out, they were all gone. Wanna make a guess whether his 'friends' will be all gone the moment his money runs out?
  16. Okay, guys. I've changed my view on Johntay. Now, I'm a big fan. Dave “Softy” Mahler: "Was told tonight that Cook committed multiple violations of team rules and insubordination." If my man committed 'multiple violations of team rules and insubordination' in 48 HOURS and got kicked off the team, that is Surly Horns Hall of Fame level!!!! Respect!!!!
  17. No, we were joking that his next stop is probably a D3 program like East Texas Baptist University. Seriously, getting kicked off his second team (although it was "mutual," lol) is a killer. Honestly, I don't know what major program would take a chance with him until he can prove that he has his life in order. And for all you young'ins out there, it's never a good idea to trash your former employer, regardless how you exited the company. It is a 100% guarantee that any prospective employer will reach out to them, along with checking your social media.
  18. And some of y'all said Johntay wasn't fast: 😃 Ex-Texas WR Johntay Cook, Washington football part ways after 48 hours with program Johntay Cook's time with Washington did not last long as he is no longer part of the program. Read the story here. By Scotty White
  19. If it turns out there isn’t a Luby’s in Marshall, maybe Johntay can sue the school for $18.77.
  20. Oh, so it was a mutual decision. He seems to agree to mutually part ways a lot.
  21. “Cook was considered by the recruiting networks to be the gem of Washington’s portal class for the 2025 cycle.” Lol.
  22. I want you to know that your voice is incredibly important, and it always matters here. This is a space that is body positive no matter if you are obese, and you are always welcome, no matter your race, gender, sexual preference, or how you express yourself. You deserve to be heard, respected, and supported just as you are—beautiful, powerful, and unique. There is no room for judgment here, only kindness, understanding, and a deep appreciation for the diversity that makes us all who we are. Always feel safe to share, to be vulnerable, and to celebrate the amazing person you are—your worth is limitless, even if your mobility isn’t.
  23. Austin and Blinken (sounds like reindeer names) wrote this NY Times editorial about why Putin has failed and why it is important that we stay the course to keep him from achieving his goals in Ukraine. The most surprising statement is that Russia has suffered 700,000 casualties to this point and 1,500 a day! I have no idea if this is true, of course, but what is surprising is that this is from an official government representative, and it is much higher than we have previously claimed. I hope it is true and it forces Putin to stand too close to a window. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/01/14/opinion/us-ukraine-defense-austin-blinken-russia.html
