Love that Yacht Club. Simple, clean and perfect on the rubber strap. It’s always been one of my favs. I have the 5001 with the blue straps that is 12 years old and still looks like new.
I regret buying the Darwin Aquatimer but it was from insurance proceeds on a JLC that I lost in Hawaii. Just received an offer from Watchfinder, which was about 50% of what I paid for it. Can’t live with that kind of price so may list it on my own.

What turned you off to Hublot ?
They are just a bit over the top for me. Plus, when every model is a limited edition, it just seems overdone to me. The one I am selling is a Luna Rossa "Limited Edition." Just don't like the look of them anymore.

Apollo 8 dark side of the moon. Dark ceramic.
Thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these. I am selling a Hublot that I never wear (and can't stand the brand) and an IWC Aquatimer Darwin edition that is just too thick. Trying to figure out what to get and have always had my eye on the DSOTM, as well as the IWC Top Gun watches. Decisions decisions.

George?
George would have been the only one to do it in back to back seasons.
I’m going to guess Billy Hatcher.

Here is the latest picture of "blue dot." She arrives two weeks from today. We are still thinking of a name, which is made more difficult since we haven't met her in person due to the Covid lockdowns in London. Anyone have some tips on how they have socialized a pup during the pandemic? London will be a bit different to the US due to stricter lockdowns and limitations on mixing households, although we will certainly smuggle some friends and their kids over to the house and do some walks in the parks to get her acquainted with other dogs. Normally we would also have plenty of pub time with the new bully, but they are closed until Spring.

Thought I was getting a great price on my PSA 9 Jordan for $10 or $11k last year. Clearly should have held. Can’t see it holding up as there are plenty of those out there.

Hard to be a serial killer nowadays with all the crime investigation technology and surveillance we have now. Definitely can’t remember any known active ones, there probably are some around but we may not know about until after the fact.
One would think it’s hard but I recall seeing an article a few months back saying there are a few thousand active serial killers. Not sure how that’s estimated but the number really surprised me.

We lost his brother last year. This guy is the best dog we’ve ever had and we’ve had some great ones. Such a fun and happy breed. Kids, dogs, anything around him/them and they just chill and go with the flow. I’ve stepped on his paw a few times over the years and he doesn’t flinch...beast mode.
Thanks tailgate. Pulled the trigger on this one Saturday. For now, she’s known as blue dot.

Tank looks awesome and 12 years is a hell of a run for a bully. Glad he recovered well from the pneumonia. It’s always a challenge with the breed. Had to deal with it 3 times with mine. Finally lost her at over 10.5 years last September and miss her every day. But tomorrow I have a zoom call with a reputable UK breeder that has 4 new female bullies born just before Christmas. It sucks that I can’t see the pups in person due to the lockdown in the UK right now, but if things go well we will pull the trigger and have one in a few weeks.

So sorry for you and your family. Hang in there.

Any suggestions on ribs in the oven besides slow and low for a few hours? This is sacrilege, I know, but I moved back to London in September and it's my only option. Fortunately I have plenty of Bolners rubs and brought various sauces with me from Texas. Sold my Klose pit to a fellow surly member on the way out and I am now craving something that might resemble 'cue.

This place is two blocks from my flat in London and next door to a butcher and a few great chocolate shops. I am going to blow up like a blimp living back here.

Don’t forget the rubber sheets and the gerbils

Well, the old boy is on the clock. He has a mass on his liver that is getting bigger- along with other tumors all over the place. He's managed it with medication for awhile, but on Monday he got where he couldn't move. Took him in to confirm the mass hadn't burst and was bleeding internally, and the ultrasound confirmed it had not. But bloodwork has elevated white bloodcell counts and it's just a matter of time. We have him on more medication than most assisted living places dole out. He has a little more pep in him, but he has slowed waaay down. Surgery at 11+years old for a 100+ lb lab is not reall ypractical. If he survived, he might not physically recover, so that does him no good. So comfort is the by word. But when it appears he is not longer comfortable, I won't keep him alive for me. But it will fucking kill me to say goodbye. I have the "gifts of peace" home pet euthanasia folks on speed dial, so we can do it at home. Fuck, I'm choked up typing this. He fucking means the world to me. unlike any animal I've ever owned, and it's not close.
Sorry to hear it SBB. Just went through this myself a little over 3 weeks ago. It gets a little easier every day but is still far from easy. I wish you and your old boy all the best. Sounds like when it’s time, you will know. In the meantime, enjoy every moment and spoil that guy like crazy. I’m sure you are.

Because:
1. What incentive does the upstairs neighbor have to lie about hearing the police announce themselves? Easier to just say he didn't hear it. Unless he was coerced by police. (Was the neighbor an illegal immigrant? Someone on probation? etc.) But with all the media/corporate/one political party's efforts to paint this the other way, it is far more likely that he would be coerced or intimidated by them into refuting his testimony.
First time I’ve heard this, but on CNN Walker’s lawyer said the one witness initially told investigators the next day that police did not announce themselves before entering but then changed his story after two more interviews.

Agreed on Delirious and Raw - they are timeless. Another one I love is The Original Kings of Comedy. Bernie Mac and Steve Harvey absolutely kill it.

I figured that's where you were. Love Wapping, and I'm pretty sure I'm familiar with the building you're talking about. Freakin' awesome. So jealous.
We shitcanned a London trip this Christmas, but will (hopefully) return again next December for 3 weeks. Normally stay somewhere off Piccadilly Circus. Planning on a Wapping flat next time around. Claim a regular stool at Turner's Old Star, maybe share some nog with Helen Mirren, etc.
Best wishes for getting settled into Marylebone and starting your new adventure.
The views do not suck. Bulldog party in the last pic

Did the same shit here in London. Loaded up on Marie’s, Yellowbird and a few local/UK stuff. Mainly serrano, habanero or ghost flavors. Pricing wasn’t too bad at about £4 to £5 per bottle. Needed some heat over here.
