  1. We had a short, fat beagle (is there any other kind?) as our kids’ childhood dog. Super sweet but intensely devious when it came to food. She shouldn’t have been able to reach the counter, but somehow she could. She once grabbed four full packages of Hawaiian rolls from the counter and got them outside before we knew it. On more than one occasion (including the Hawaiian rolls escapade) I had to squirt hydrogen peroxide down her gullet to get her to vomit so she didn’t kill herself from gorging. She rifled through all my daughters’ teenage friends purses more than once for mints, lipsticks, gum, and feminine products. Our current Goldie is somewhere on the spectrum (is there any other kind?), but not nearly as food driven. Things on the counter are safe. I can leave food on the coffee table, go to the bathroom, come back and it’s untouched. Once cup of food in the morning, one in the evening. That’s it. Same food, day after day, after week, after month, after year. She’s always just as excited.
  2. Aggie thread is that way β€”->
  3. You could always go to the ICU for five days. Problem solved.
  4. You’re probably right. But in the words of Liucci, β€œWeigman is that guy.”
  5. Did not mean to self-quote. Disregard, ban user.
  6. As if the Ospreys weren’t already engineered to kill people … And on the aviation theme, this one fits too.
  7. From a Sharpie commercial.
  8. Looks like you could use $350,000 for a kitchen remodel.
  9. Yup. That was it. Someone stole that card and I cancelled it. Still catching up with all the auto-renewals.
  10. That’s exactly what they were expected to do. That’s why they fired Jimbo, before the 2022 class defections got worse. That’s why they appointed the DL coach as interim, to hold the class together. That’s why they hired Elko, as he was perceived as the best chance to hold the class together. That’s exactly what Elko said upon his hiring. No rebuilding. Compete now. They built everything on expecting to compete for SECX3 and CFP immediately. It wasn’t supposed to be year 1 of rebuild, it was supposed to be the orgasmic culmination of everything they delude themselves that they are. And then the roller coaster got stalled in the gate against ND. No problem. Early setback, back on track with the usual suspects. Top 10 wins against Mizzou and LSU! 7-1! Cracked the top 10! Whoop!! Everything is working out exactly as planned!!!! And then November happened. 0-4 against P4 teams, although they did pummel poor NMSU. The Thujone coaster was made for such a time as this. Whoops. 8-5. Same as it ever was.
  11. Staning?
  12. That’s my dealer! Harrison Ford Was '60s Hollywood's Favorite Weed Dealer Before he was known as Han Solo and then Indiana Jones, and then Jack Ryan, etc., Harrison Ford was known to a lot of people as "my weed guy." He hung around Hollywood for more than a decade before his big break, carpenting and auditioning and picking up bit parts here and there, and you know what they say: If you can't join them, maybe try getting them high and see if they'll give you their agent's phone number. By all accounts, he had some pretty high-profile clients: When she saw Star Wars for the first time, Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas did a double-take before shouting, "That's my pot dealer!" She later explained that she "didn't even know Harrison was an actor," so he was either really shitty at networking or an exceptionally ethical drug dealer. He was also said to have supplied the Doors, making Harrison Ford responsible for possibly as much of the decade's best music as acoustic guitars and draft-dodging. He also definitely gave it to Carrie Fisher in more ways than one. During their now-infamous three-month affair on the set of Star Wars, the pair met up every week to smoke and bone, and Fisher actually credited Ford's intense supply with making her "forget most of 1976" and turning her off weed permanently. Marking the first and only time Harrison Ford turned a woman off. https://www.cracked.com/article_30637_5-bonkers-tales-of-celebs-and-drugs.html

  14. β€œThis was their year.” Oh Aggies. How quickly you forget that this year was YOUR year. It was always 2024. That #1 class was going to get you a title this year, or it wasn’t. It didn’t. You fired your β€œsitting MNC coach,” mortgaged your future, appointed your DL coach as interim, and hired a mid ACC coach that had recruited the all-time best class, all in the hopes of holding that class together for a title run this year. This was the year. Except it wasn’t.
  15. He didn’t mean no harm. He can still tend the rabbits.
