Chicken stock is super easy and cheap to make homemade as well, so it's really easy to have high quality stuff on hand. Beef broth, I don't really eat enough beef to have the trimmings or bones to make homemade, so I am stuck with store bought. I never really thought about using chicken when the recipe calls for beef.
I need to rewatch Shot Caller. I couldn't remember if the DWI crash killed people in another car or just the people in his car. Not that I have a soft spot for drunk drivers, but I always roll my eyes at the people in the car with the drunk driver being described as victims. There are obviously scenarios where they could be victims, but for the most part if you go out drinking with someone and you get in the car with them you are complicit.
Rebel Ridge is solid. Don Johnson plays a pretty good bad guy. He was pretty much the same character as Brawl in Cell Block 99 which I also like. Cycling with headphones so loud you can't hear a cop car behind you is really stupid, and maybe justifiably gets you rammed off the road. Not so much the other corruption though.
In laws had one up until about 10 years ago. They also had one of those wooden box TVs that sat on the floor until about 15 years ago. They were discussing where to put a new tv they were wanting to get, and I jokingly said to put it on top of the wooden box, and they did just that. Pulled the old tube TV out of there and now that holds their VCR-DVD combo player.
NFL practice times have been bargained down to such small levels, that there are zero reps to go around for developmental guys, and besides that NFL practice squad salaries are shit and NIL in the pros only comes when you prove it on the field, not because of your high school rating.
The NFL isn't drafting high schoolers, at least not in any substantial numbers that would make a difference. Besides the fact the 3 year rule isn't an NCAA rule it's an NFL rule and they have no desire to change.
It's almost distracting knowing that it's Farrell. I don't really know who came up with the concept of the character, and casting him for it, but they nailed it.
