I haven't seen a ton of classics that were well before my time, born in 84. Field of Dreams comes to mind as not getting why everyone thinks is so great, and I've never watched the Lonesome Dove mini series.
Wedding venues are expense as hell these days. Or maybe they always were and I never paid attention. Married in 08 at a church and the reception at the church parish center, so I never had to bite that bullet. My youngest cousin just got married a year ago and the place wasn't anything special but holy hell was it expensive.
NFL teams and the networks are currently discussing barring Weigman from the NFL. FOX, ESPN, and CBS are concerned about teams forfeiting in order in order to secure the #1 pick. The networks are really pushing to get this through fast.
Theatre prices are ridiculous and home TV setups get better by the day. The movie experience adds value, but not enough. Rent at home $20-$25 and a few bucks for popcorn and drinks. Go to the theatre as a family 50-60 tickets and another 40 in popcorn and drinks. It's an easy choice. If it's a movie that nobody else in my family has any interest in, I occasionally will go to the theatre by myself, but fuck trying to go as a family.
Dishwashers used to dry with a heating element at the bottom to dry, but that used a ton of power. Now they use condensation drying which sucks for plastics. That's why on older dishwashers you couldn't put anything plastic on the bottom rack or it would melt.
We recently moved and are maybe a little over 100 yards from the elementary school, and it's rural so there is no traffic. It was my dream as a kid to ride my bike to school, but not my 8 year old. We have to drop him off. He'll even ride his bike to his friends house on the other side of the school on weekends. I just don't get it.
Puddle jumpers I think that is what Gil is describing work great for my toddlers. The ones we had were CG approved. I wasn't too worried about them becoming Michael Phelps though.
First, everyone on planet earth is a shitty driver except for me. So unless you are hiring me to be your driver, you are getting a shitty driver. Second there is 0% chance the cop isn't taking Scottie to jail on accessory charges. Look at the charges everyone in that car was going to jail because the cop was assaulted (according to him).
Tiger was high and driving like a maniac. I don't see the point of having a driver if you fully capable of operating a vehicle like a normal person unless you hate driving. If that's the case, yeah he certainly has the fuck you money to hire a driver. Unless the passenger seat is the safest spot in a vehicle a driver offers no safety benefits. It's just a convenience. He's just as likely to be a shitty driver as you are yourself. And I would guess had their been a driver in this situation both would still have been arrested.
